Alpinestars are known for quality. I'm just not sure if I should spend the extra money when I can buy a Rynox which has pretty much the same features and more.

The best jacket I can think of is the ADV Breed's jacket. Its more of an Eurofit but try it out if you are in Bangalore.

I think the Tornado pro is good enough for our conditions. For the price the Alpinestars is not justified ... especially the low end ones.

rynox tornado pro is good option. don't go for the TBG adv breed as the rain liner is not 100% waterproof as riessa is not used
but again it will be your choice. solace defender though a good option comes with sas tec level 2 armors. my cousin using it since
last 6 months. it is VFM product i must say

Buying 4 Season Gear from Revzilla

Greetings Fellow riders.
I am new to XBHP and motorcycle riding
I am planning to get few riding gears for from Revzilla.com to my cousin brothers address in US.

1. 4 Season Jacket Budget 270$ Max
2. Convertible/Modular Helmet Budget 120$ Max
3. Touring Boot with minimal looks Budget 80$ Max
4. All season Riding Gloves Budget 80$ Max
5. Riding Jeans
6.Riding Goggles

Me and my friend is planning for a K2K ride this June.
I prefer all season gears with minimal looks(I love every colour as long as it is back)
we will be riding RE Himalayan for this ride

I have shortlisted the following
1. Tour Master Transition 4 Jacket - RevZilla

2.Fly Tourist Helmet - Solids - RevZilla

3. Tour Master Flex WP Boots - RevZilla

4. Fly Aurora Gloves - RevZilla
Tour Master Mid-Tex Gloves - RevZilla

I am 5.11" 60KG of skinny build. I understand the risk of buying gear without wearing it which am ready to take.

Please provide your valuable suggestions about any alternative options in specified budget and size slections

So I bought myself a pair of riding boots - Falco Oxegen2
As there are no reviews for the same on this thread I thought of putting up one. They are made in Italy and are imported by Spartan Pro Gear. I bought them for Rs 12,700/- but the prices have now increased to Rs 14,250/-
Though cheaper than Sidi, A*, etc. the quality of these boots is comparable to mid range of both the brands. These are CE rated and come with metal toe sliders, D3O padding at impact areas, shin guard, shank reinforced sole and air vents.
These are not waterproof, but that means they have high breathability and keep the feet dry and cool, perfect for summers. When riding, you do have to get used to them, if you have not worn riding boots before. Your feet have lesser mobility as compared to normal shoes and gear shifts and feet placement on the pegs need to be adjusted accordingly.
They are comfortable enough for walking and can be worn off the bike. I wore them for 2 hours without feeling any discomfort.

Hey all, I own Suzuki Gixxer 155. My friends and I are planning on going for a long ride in a week. And I have been planning on getting a good pair of riding gloves. So I need your help in getting one. Suggest me some good riding gloves under Rs. 1k.

I wanted to know if the solace sprint/lofty is a worthy competitor to the Rynox Air GT? or any other brand of jacket.
Im mainly looking for a riding jacket that has the best ventilation and keeps me pretty dry ()during heavy downpours.Both have pretty good protection and features but since im on a tight budget the more expensive defender/tornado pro is a bit of a stretch.


I will stretch for the tornado pro/solace defender if their so called waterproofing REISSA liner does it job, unless its proven otherwise.
Does the REISSA liner allow you to completely replace a dedicated rain coat or will i have to buy one? If This REISSA liner isnt good at keeping me dry then ill go for the cheaper air gt/sprint and buy a rain coat.

From online pictures its seems the air Gt has larger area of mesh and should provide better ventilation as compared to the solace sprint/lofty,True?

Have been using the Air GT since almost a year now. Ventilation is very good,no complains whatsoever, as rightly mentioned by you due to the are of mesh and the type of mesh.
Frankly there is no liner which will keep you dry under prolonged heavy downpours. Your idea of buying a rain coat is much practical. The Air GT liner is also not as effective in heavy down pours.

Tornado Pro (borrowed from my brother' friends) on the other hand had better water protection as compared to Air GT given the Reissa material used in it, by this I mean you, it will be dry for a longer time as compared to Air GT, not that you would never get wet in it.
But the protection that you get in Tornado pro is unparalleled.

Bottom line, if you are happy with the armors of the Air GT, it is much wiser to go for it along with a rain coat if keeping yourself dry is an important requirement.

Am asking since i have read that the tornado pro has fine mesh holes as compared to a spartan helios jacket, so wondering if the air gt too is similar to the tornado pro.

solace sprint is one of good option & it has several reviews from biker end. i am also using sprint orange since more than 18 months
& it is a VFM range i must say. you can check the below reviews it might help you out.

As far as I know Spartan is not importing waterproof version of Oxegen 2
They have another model Axis 2, which is waterproof. The only difference is that it doesn't have toe sliders and is slightly shorter in length.

The Mesh of Air GT is exactly the same as the one used in Helios. Infact, this itself made me feel like Helios was a loot, as it had the same material which was used in a entry level jacket of Rynox.

Yes you are right Tornado has finer holes. But the thickness and the quality of Tornado Pro's mesh and other material in it is way superior than the Air GT or the Helios. Since the holes of the Tornado pro are finer it does not let a lot of dust inside, especially when you are riding on highways.

With regards to ventilation, once you are on the move you can hardly make out any difference in the ventilation. I am happy with the ventilation of Air GT.

Is there any Spartan jacket below 11k price range that has better allweather capacity (thermal & & protection than Tornado pro. ??


Is this rain proof. Site says it keeps moisture away. Didn't said anything about rain specifically
