Went there and checked out 2 riding jackets . 1 all weather jacket with thermal lining inside fully waterproof with shoulders and elbow protector and other was leather jacket with shoulders and elbow protectors (removable)
My heart stuck on this leather jacket and inquired about the both . Leather jackets cant be worn in rain (drawback) but looks rich very rich . Price - 42800 - 50% = 21400.
Riding jacket all weather best quality. Price - 38500-50% = 19250.
      Not much price diffrence .
But the fit and finish of leather was so class apart that i bought the leather one than too was in a dialemma so ask HD people that can i exchange in weeks time if i dont like aand to my surprise thay told YES . After coming home showed to my wife and she too liked it a lot but than she told me what ll u do in rain . Now i am confused . Can you guys help me what should i do ? Does anyone has leather riding gear .
      Attaching pics .
If I were you I would also go for a leather jacket. I already have one..which I got custom made with 1.8 mm thick leather from the leather industry here in Mumbai. I have used it in very bad rain and it has stood the test of time and nature. It's been 5 years now and it's still amazing. Let's not even go at the looks part...leather jackets are always the best.. yours being branded is just expensive. As of the armor that can be easily upgraded. Use a wax water proofing solution easily available in any good shoe stores e.g Bata. I would also have a rain coat at least two size larger than what I would generally buy (costs approx 1800). The big picture is it won't rain whole year. Mind it none of the jackets as claimed are water proof they are just water resistant up to 10000 mm water column at max. That is like moderate rain for 3 hours kind of endurance. Leather is naturally water proof, all you have to do is hang dry it and then apply wax polish to keep it perfect for years to come or you outgrow it. Happy flaunting and best of riding. Cheers

He meant he will wear designer Denim Jacket as Advertised in TVs along with a retro bike which aids to manliness , and wear plastic armor / elbow / shin guard on the denim jacket ( not in the jacket but outsude it ) .

So as per my understanding :
                • Every time the rider goes out, he will wear tee, then the armour and then the Denim jacket

                • In our "cold" country this will for sure make the rider "hot"

Yes they are. Though I think I might sound like I'm employed by their authorized distributors, but you can visit them and verify the genuineness of the stuff. Now whether you buy a genuine/fake helmet at a non authorized reseller is out of scope.
It really was a heart gutting incident though!
                      Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

                        http://www.motoroids.com/news/20-yea...ue-mt-helmets/
Really a saddening incident and my condolences to his entire family in this hard time.

The MT sold in India by their distributor are genuine (Supplied by MT Helmets Parent Company) is what I understand.
But it certainly raises doubts if the MT helmets sold to India are of sub-standard manufactured quality, as compared to the ones that are sold in the European market (This is done by a lot of brands - from car/bike manufacturers)
What further compels me to believe so are the facts given below, which I personally spent sometime in researching. (I did so coz I had gifted an MT to my younger brother and recommended it to a few friends, which already is not given me a good feeling and I would not be very sure of doing so going ahead.)

                        1) MT Helmet Spain (MT HELMETS) does not have the Axxis model listed whatsoever, while their distributor here is selling a model called Axxis.
Inference: Its either a Fake MT Series (Less likely) or its a series made by MT which is of sub-standard quality and is sold in India only and thus not mentioned on their global website. I do not find any other reason.

                        2) MT Helmet on sportsbikeshop.co.uk for 129 Pound (INR. 11k), while it is sold in India at INR. 6250. While an HJC on sportsbikeshop.co.uk is sold for 79 Pounds (INR. 6.5k), while in India its sold for INR. 7.5k (Expensive in India, but more or less than same price)
Inference: Its a genius cost innovation by MT and their Indian distributor to reduce the price to HALF OR simply lowered the quality to lower the cost to get numbers in India, while bank upon MT's brand credibility and get away with it.

                        3) Indian distributor sold Imola helmets in India under the brand name Kranos which they continue to sell even today, which were apparently manufactured by MT. While MT was selling the Imola 2 (under its own brand name- MT) which was mentioned on their Global website since almost 2 year from now.
Inference: Why was Imola sold in India, while Imola 2 was already out ? Its been 2 years now, they still continue to sell the Imola in India while the Imola 2 is out. (May be a little vague to decide the quality sold in India, but we can take an idea at the brand's perspective/outlook towards the Indian market).

                        4) Imola Helmet is sold here at 3250/- and comes with ECE and DOT both, while the MT Blade also come with both the homologations.
Inference: I have personally seen both the helmets and there is a huge difference in the shell and the foam pads inside. The Imola hardly had any foam towards the top (One can directly see the Shell form the inside) clearly showing why its sold at 3250/-, while still it qualified to get a ECE and DOT approval. Really ??? Given that helmet to be ECE and DOT approved, I felt my 13 year old Vega helmet could have well gotten a SNELL approval then !

I do understand that all the protective helmets/gear given their safety norms do not guarantee 100% safety. But it made me think on these line and pondered upon the thoughts mentioned above.

The helmets are genuine but the make available in India is from China mostly. However the European one are either eu, korea or Japan manufactured. However, HJC helmets are imported from Korea directly, similarly Bell from USA. So the price of these brands in India will be at par with international prices.
I guess the same safety standards do not apply to some of the models which are manufactured keeping lower cost in mind. In my opinion if someone is into racing, the choice of helmet should atleast me more subtle. It's a sad news nevertheless and my condolences are with the family.

Everyone would like that but then they don't come cheap. You can check Royal Enfield Darcha series which is true all weather. However for 7 k, go for Rynox jackets. They are good, trusted and work fair for the price.

I didnt want to share this but changed my mind so that members here understand why we urge everyone to buy good riding gears and good certified helmet.

Jacket : Generic Motowear jacket which did its work of saving my upper part of body in very good way. Not a single scratch on my upper body.

Helmet : Now before I go further, let me make you all aware that my LS2 is the first helmet that was imported and had DOT certification. Its the heaviest LS2 in the market and also the certification is not stickered, its embossed. This is why I know why the LS2s that are there in the market are fake as I can clearly see where the current LS2 screams of "bring fake".

Gloves : This was my mistake, I was wearing Pro Biker, they could not take the impsct very well. Resulting in right pinky finger fractured and left thumb join dislocation> i assume TRG2 being leather and better protection could have taken it in better way.

If you see the video closely, you can see my head hitting Car's A pillar and then almost hitting the pavement slab. I very well know that this could have been fatal, but glad I was wearing enough riding gears.

I request you all to take this as an example and invest in some good riding gears and helmet.

                                Ride safe.
