A very good and safe biker not only because he can pop up either of the wheels, scrape his knees on a corner or go fast and make it look stylish but because he very well knows his limits and capabilities and has the patience to learn about others and ride safe ! :)

J.C Road ... Helmet Paradise stocks these guards although the shopkeeper quotes high... around Rs.950 for the same FOX guards.
whereas if you go straight from the MTR and after that take a right turn ... there is a mosque and opposite to mosque there is a small shop .. he stocks AXO knee/elbow guards which are available for Rs.1200 but if you can bargain then he will settle for 1k for the guards (AXO)
ive got from that shop for 1k.
is this FOX / AXO original one ?
i doubt whether we get FOX original for such low prices.
I am looking for a knee guard , Glove and jacket .
I already finalized the jacket i will be going for DSG Nero .
Gloves i was planning to get DSG Revive but i want to know whether this is fully water proof or not ..
Knee guard i am still confused and need suggestions
(Right now i dont have budget for alpinestar boinic kneeguard(5 K ) )
please suggest me a good knee guard ..

              Vishnu,

Go for the Nero, its perfect for Kerala's monsoons. With the inner lining, it keeps you dry above your waist even in the worst of rains. I use it on a daily basis here. Am not saying the Cramsters arent (as) good, however there have been several cases of people not being too happy with the quality of Cramsters jackets. Sabu stocks the Nero.

For gloves you could look at the DSG Revive or the Cramster TRG2. Personally I would recommend the TRG2 because its a proper full gauntlet pair as compared to the Revive. Check for fitting and comfort before buying, I am pretty sure Ive seen both sets at AQ.

              Happy shopping !

                • stuff frm Pune

Was in Pune for the Ninja rally on Saturday. Dropped in to Planet DSG to pick up some stuff.

                  Bought the following:

                  1. LS 2 Phobia : Matte Black / Silver combo. Really loved the shade. MRP : Rs. 3500, Sale price : Rs. 3200. Paid 3100/- with VAT bill.

                  2. Tank pad Keiti : MRP : Rs. 900, Sale price : Rs. 800

Will try and post pics soon.

Now the best part. Walked across to Pro-Biker & picked up a bluetooth system for the Helmet.
Simultaneously pairs with my mobile, my Ipod touch & 2 other riders ! Also has FM. Worked beautifully on the ride back to mumbai. Speakers/headphones & the mic are really really slim & with velcro so get attached to the inside of the helmet very easily.
Paid Rs. 4K for it, comes with a 1 yr warranty. By far the cheapest that i could get it for in india i think. The way the dealer works this out i think is that he gets a certain model of Vega helmets that come with this system. He separates the helmets & the bluetooth system & sells them separately.

Used it on one ride so far (200 kms). Will post more reviews, on further using it. But it was selling like hot cakes. My friend and me picked the last 2 pcs.
If you are not afraid, you have probably chosen too easy a mountain to climb!!

I have bought a couple of things from here, but dont really trust the stuff. Most of the jackets are not genuine. Also prices for some are high. Picked a pair of Pro-Biker gloves for Rs. 650, read somewhere on this thread that somebody has picked it up for Rs. 450 in Delhi.

                    So tread with caution.

I want to buy a nice riding jacket of 5.5K max. budget. My options are Cramster breezer and Dsg maze/neon.
I reside in kerala, here its mixed climate though more rain.So i want a riding jacket compromising with these climatic conditions.
In the website of cramster breezer it is written as its idle for south Indian climatic condition.
Can u please suggest one?also suggest some good gloves within 2.5K range

                      Thank u

I would suggest you visit Auto Queen in Cochin (Near Kalloor Road Signal), he has a collection of Cramster / DSG / Alpinestar and so on, also if you tell him the model he will get it for you, it is always you touch and feel the product which you would wannu purchase, he has a good collection of Helmets too. I had visited him last week and he seems to be a genuine guy.

                      • I bought the Alpinestars Bionic Knee guards last week (free size) and used them for the first time on my Wayanad trip over the weekend.

Super comfy and very sturdy. I never felt the presence of the knee guards. Absolutely superb VFM and highly recommended. Felt very safe and best part is that the padding is very soft and comfy and can be completely removed and washed.

The guards are earmarked clearly for left and right knees.

Retails for 5250/- and I paid 4750/- at Orion motors blore.

depends on when you tend to tour/ride more....if the monsoons...go for a water-proof one...if not the 2nd option is good...cramster does provide that...
