  • Jacket & Gloves

    Friends,

Honestly I need to have a decent Jacket & good Full Gloves.
Both must be all weather all terrain.

    Suggestion required.
Previously used one Pro Biker Full gloves for last six months.
Almost torn due to friction in the Left hand and may not be used in some days.

Dont worry dude we have everything here back in India....
What type of riding do you do??
      What's your budget?
Any specific brand in mind -- Good or Bad?
Seasons for which the jacket will be used?

yes it has armour for elbows, shoulders & back. u will also get a removable liner which can be used in rains. but dont have any idea about how effective it will be in mumbai monsoon.

          Eshan,
Sorry forgot to mention that since there was a call in OFFICE.

          1. Mostly City riding but planning for touring with my WIFE.
          2. Gloves around Rs 1200/- Jackets around Rs 4000/-
          3. Products from MOTORCYCLE SUPERSTORE have interested me for both variety & price. No bias against DSG or R-JAYs or CRAMSTER
          4. Must be all terrain but not chilly winter. May be 08-10 degrees Celsius @ max.

Fundamentally I must try and see the comfort level before buying.
To be precise budget can be extended.

The rule of budget is simple if analysed cost per month.
          Rs 100 for gloves
          Rs 200 for helmets
          Rs 200 for jackets

Mostly we change gears after every THREE FOUR years with a VEHICLE change.

            Very well portrayed...
Motorcycle superstore is the best option but sadly they dont have international orders taking place....but if u have a friend coming from the US then yes you can get good stuff...Motorcycle superstore is perfect for the brand name Fieldsheer...it suits your budget for gloves as well as jackets.

As well as India goes, your place. there is no variety apart from DSG, Cramster and Rjays...these are the crunch sellers or economical sellers...they have high end products for Indian class of bikes...
The Nero or falcon is a good buy....
Cramster is a good buy too but have heard lots of issues......
Rjays goes way out of budget but is good if you can extend your budget....
For the mentioned temperatrues the prescribed ones are perfect!!!

You can even try Scoyco....i had the link before but not finding it in the history!!!! jackets start around 3k to 5k in this brand....

Gloves wise the moto mesh is a beginner or even the Twister from cramster....
            RJays are too costly!!!
            Check for cramster reviews again!!!!

If you have anything more let met know...would love to help!!!

i have seen 2 types or models of scoyco. one is called JK17 which is cheaper (around 3.5 to 4k). but it doesn't have any aquashield. and the other is JK27 (i guess i m roght abt the model number). its around 5.5 to 6k. it comes with liner for rains and winter.

Oh..! yea, I have heard of these two. And its JK24, not 27.
I wanted to know if there is any other model.

And regarding these, is it like, JK 24 is nothing but a JK 17 added with an aquashield..? I mean, is there any substantial difference between the two, which is worth the price difference..?

i have only seen them and have never tried them on any ride. but JK24 looks and feels better product than JK17. but JK17 is also not bad considering its price.

Germany and Switzerland are notorious for high prices. To give you a perspective, helmets cost 15% more than the US sites and Jackets are also slightly overpriced. Any particular reason from Germany? Because if you head down south to Italy, you get cheaper rates (sometimes better than US rates)

I've told you, they are expensive. The RJays and DSGs you get here offer better VFM than the 4500 wala jacket. Trust me.

The other stores will be similarly priced. Google them or check out ebay.
