  • Hey guys!! I just upgraded my riding gear with DSG Nero and DSG Revive.
The fitting of the jacket is superb and I am super happy with it. Plus the DSG gloves are also nice..perfect fitting. Felt the heat on the traffic light when the bike stopped I forgot to open the vents Putting up some pics.

PS: Apologies for the camera quality because I lost the charger of my camera

    • I have been gifted an Alpinestars TRC1 jacket by my sister.

But,the grin you see above was long gone just after I opened the couriered box and checked for the size!

As per the sizing chart,I bought the size M from DSG pune (online). The order was delivered within 2 days and now,I am having some issues.

The fit is very snug and indeed very nice around shoulders and waist. Most probably the best jacket I have ever seen. Quality of material is excellent and it lives up to its premium name.

Albeit, the thing that's been bugging me for so long is the sleeve length. They are long(and broad) by over 2 inches. And the armor is not quite where it should be. With the inner lining on somehow feels bearable and remains in place too but, without it the whole thing just hangs by and is very loose.I simply don't like this.

I haven't taken the badges off yet and didn't ride even once wearing it. I am thinking to have a size change but I don't want to loose the otherwise perfect shoulder and waist fit.The fit is just perfect save for the elbows and sleeves.

And also,it's been 20-25 days since I got the jacket.I reported the issues to DSG the same day and they are arranging the small size for me.

I would like to know if the things I have mentioned are normal or should I go for a change? I am totally confused!
If you ride like there's no tomorrow...worry not there won't be!

Since you have bought the jacket, you should once wear it and go for a short ride on your bike. Because you will be wearing your jacket when you ride!!! During this ride you should check the comfort, the positioning of the elbow and shoulder guards. If you want you can tighten the jacket from the elbows, there is a strap there. If you still think its loose, then you go for a change.

Actually,it's not that the jacket is uncomfortable. What I am trying to say is the elbow armor is not in place anytime. So,whether I wear it on the bike or sit on the chair it doesn't really matter much. Also, could you tell more about the straps? I am sure your are not talking about the normal velcro straps around wrist.

I am just annoyed by excess bulge around the wrist and elbow.

My only experience with international shipping also took a lot of days. First, there was a delay of one week for the item to leave the supplier. Then one whole frigging week when it was being shipped by UPS ground from california to new york. 3 days from NY to mumbai, 3 or 4 days pending customs, and finally another 4 days with BlueDart shipping.
But, I got the tracking details after pestering them (ICC world) a bit. They should have some details of tracking number/consignment number etc... keep asking till you get some details...

                Hey lijo ....
I tried all sorts of stuff like this .. infact also shouted on the customer service manager ... but he said that the DHL Global mail service does not provide any tracking id .. yah they charged very less for shipping, only 9$ ( other shipping types charge minimum of 25$) .....
and they said that after it reaches india, it will be delivered by local post, and not by any other courier.
                Any idea about this ??
They provided me a BOL ( boarding of Laden ) number.
Any idea how to track with that ??

hmmm... they generally use the slowest, which will be the cheapest, form of transporting them.
Reg the number you have.... try getting some contact number of DHL and pester them...

I guess you mean Bill of lading, you can't track this, it's an international shipping standard thing, you will have to be patient! As frustrating as they are (Iccworld) they deliver the best service, ultimately it's our desi bureaucratic system that is the cause of your delay, by having a Bill of Lading number means your stuff is sent my sea, don't expect anything for a few weeks!
Beware of Bread, don't say I didn't warn you!
More than 98 percent of convicted criminals are bread eaters !
Statistics show that more than 75 % of violent crimes are committed within 24 hours of eating bread !
Bread is known to be extremely addictive. Subjects deprived of bread and given only water, actually begged for bread after just two days !
Bread has been proven to kill. Scientists have now uncovered alarming evidence that 100% of the people who eat bread will eventually die !

                        1. Gliders MC-1

Please give me a solution as to what can be done. i thought of cleaning it with soap water and cloth but as you all know, because of the rains , i m skeptic
that it wont dry out faster and will leave some smell again.

I have replied in the Helmets thread.
Use option 2 if the padding is removable, else use Option 1.

If it is an excessive bulge as you have described then you can get it changed. Ya! about the straps which I am talking about are located near your elbow armor and they are not velcro. They have buttons.

                            • riding gear for just one tour

Hi guys, I want to go leh next year by participating in Royal Enfield Himalayan Odyssey but my problem is i dont have a riding gear and if i had to buy riding gear then after the tour will never use it. I stay in mumbai and riding is within city limits. Can i get riding gear on rent in mumbai or delhi? are there any people out there who buy used riding gear? also i have seen many threads discussing about jacket and gloves but most of the time touring pants are not discussed is it not necessary for leh tour?
