@abhee : I live in Mumbai, Most of my riding will be done after i buy the gear but as i said it should be suitable for both city and touring. Most of the riding will be in dry weather but should be usable for rides during the monsoons as well.Originally posted by abhee View PostJay, the type of jacket will depend upon the climatic conditions of the place you mostly ride. To my fellow 220-ian with jacket confusions , I pick Breezer from that list !
Since you want to use it for the city as well , how about some other mesh jackets ? You can consider :
1) Rjays swift
2) Rjays Octane
Both are great jackets.
An update on my riding gears :
I bought myself DSG Revive gloves last weekend. I know there are LOADS of thumbs ups for the revive , and I am no exception !
Brilliant gloves. Got myself a size L. The venting on it really works ! The air intakes as well as the perforated leather endings on the fingers really keep the hands cool. So no problem with city use. Of course , I guess with all the venting , its not very great in the rains ( yet to try it out in the rains ). Would love some feedback about their performance in the wet though.
Also, I was supposed to be buying the DSG nero last weekend with my gloves but fate had other plans for me. My Uncle from the US offered to buy me a jacket and get it delivered to bangalore through someone who comes here from there. So I have chosen the Joe Rocket Atomic 4.0 jacket.
Reasons for the JR atomic 4.0 :
Fully waterproof construction with a solid ventlation system.
Beautiful build ( I love JR stuff ).
And Of course , the CE rated armour.
Within budget.
Ive ordered size Medium , Colour fully black.
Im 5'10" , 75kgs , chest 42 , waist 33 , so M was the logical choice according to their sizing chart. Reason for the colour is , I ride a Red 220 , with the exact shade of red LS2 big one helmet. So I wanted a fully black jacket. Here is a pic:
Sad part is , I dont know when my uncle will send it. Hopefully someone will travel to bangy from there sometime soon.
Its $135.59 = Rs.6000 and change !

@dwaram ,
Where do u live ?? If you are from Mumbai then there is only one place where you will get RJays merchandise. .. It is at Bachoo Motors at Tardeo. Even if you dont live in Mumbai , you can still contact them at [email protected] or call him on 022-23514956 or 9820626246 and he can get it shipped it for you anywhere in India ..

I completely agree with ashwin208 and Abhee as well. Try the Rjays Swift and Octane... Best choice for Mumbai climate. I believe these are good for monsoons as well. check the post from "meninjean" on page 572... might be of some help... Hope this helps ...

Depends on stock bro... I got the first set of my order in a week flat. The second part took almost a month due to stock arriving late etc. They will keep you updated with status, else send inquiry mails. Guys,Originally posted by rx100.7050 View PostHi all,
I have DSG Mesh with leather paddings on shoulders. Can I just wash the jacket with Detergent water? Also, can spraying them with Leather Spray save them from getting spoiled with rain water? Where do we get the leather spray from?
can anybody shed some light on this query?"HASTA LA VICTORIA, SIEMPRE !" - Chesigpic

Anyone got reviews or used either of these two jackets?
1. Tour Master Flex Series 2 Jacket :: MotorcycleGear.com
2. Cortech by Tour Master GX Air Series 2 Jacket :: MotorcycleGear.com
Planning to pick one of them!
EDIT: Also big time confused about helmets, thinking of going for an AGV. But then I feel I should just skimp a few $$ and get a SparX instead as its OK enough for my needs. Then I see some sexy lids from Icon and and I'm totally confused...

Thank you @ka600, @nagesh patankar and @abhee. I think of the lot that i was confused between, breezer seems to be the most recommended.
I will consider the Rjays as well but do they fall in the same price range of about 6k.
@ashwin 208- thanks for the detailed description, really helped a lot. Good choice of jacket mate.Last edited by JayD; 08-26-2011, 12:47 PM.Just flick the switch and twist my wrist
