  • MyUS is a nice idea, but it is best if executed at xBHP level. This will considerably reduce the per user fee and from a business p.o.v MyUS will get 100s of users who will be buying more frequently than if 10's of us come together and have a joint account. So in a nutshell this is what i say: xBHP users pay a one-time fee to xBHP which will enable them to access MyUS through a group account (like ScienceDirect in universities) and then individual's can then order their stuff whenever they want too. The only thing one would expect is some special xBHP shipping rates.

Given the popularity of this forum i am sure such a deal can be signed.

    • Hi Guys,

I have used the Duty Free service from ICC World & found it to be competitive. You can check that too.

Not sure if they ship different version to India.
I use all seasons & it is CE approved.
Check this from one of my previous posts here.

I think when they use the CE logo for a jacket, it means that not only the armour but other parts (material etc.) of the Jacket also conforms to the EEA CE norms.
Other than conformance to the Quality Standards (EN1621-1) a manufacturer has to satisfies the legislative requirements of EEA before selling the product in European markets.
Anyway one should at least check if the armour confirms to the quality standards.
One thing I came to know that few Chinese Exporters use CE logo similar to the authentic logo which stands for China Exports or China Electronics!
If you dont believe in something you dont buy it. Its as simple as that .

I suspected this too, cause a 2K difference (between swift & octane) just for the back protector and looks didn't quite gel with me.

Its not that. We're just trying to determine which one of it is true. Maybe talking to Zulfi himself would help resolve this.

I'd like something like this too but I can't imagine xBhp would do it. Hard to answer WIIFM for xBhp. Anyway, it all depends on the sort of shipping rates we get because that's the largest component of the extra cost. ridersdiscount.com has low $25 international shipping. bikebandit.com has great closeout deals. Hmm... if only we could somehow combine the two

Yup, thanks. Checked it out. Tried getting a quote for a helmet ($100, 5lb) and comes up to about INR 3500. bikebandit.com ships UPS($100?). motorcyclegear.com has $50 shipping with USPS but that could mean customs hassles if you're unlucky. ICCWorld doesn't seem like such a bad option. Really tempting to ask my friends to carry stuff for me. Not everyone has that option though.

There will not be any duty for duty free service though there are few terms & conditions. Speak to them (Sanjay / Rahila) they will explain. Also you can calculate the rates directly here. Shipment is fast you will receive the item within 3-4 days once ICCWorld receives the item at their NewYork office. But you will have to provide Credit Card details to them (it is a risk but I didn't find any issue) for the duty free service since they will purchase the items directly in US. Apparently credit card company will apply forex charges which might add to the cost. For the normal service they will send you the quote & you will have to make the payment online (Credit Card or Fund Transfers).
You compare the cost of both the services i.e. duty free as well as normal & choose which is economical & best suited.
They might give us discount in the shipping rate if we buy in bulk.

Yes, speak to Zulfi or else drop an email to Rajay's Aus directly.
But don't worry abt the quality of the armor of riding jackets it is good enough to protect you. Higher quality comes at higher price.
I use all seasons, it's a fantastic jacket though little costly. May be you can check yourself multiple options & choose which suits yourself.

                  • Hi,
I'm presently in Jaipur, and will be going to Delhi for a day or two.
I want riding gears: jacket, gloves are must, and knee pads, elbow pads...
I think it will be best for me to check New Delhi(although I stay and ride in Calcutta) for these stuffs...Can you please write the proper place/market where I can find these which are VFM.
Also, how much amount should I take with me, as I'm a student I've to ask my parents for the input. Please do reply ASAP, 'cause I'll be leaving for Delhi tomorrow only and my internet is damn poor(via bluetooth).

Heard AlpineStar jacket many times, anyone post its cost please.
And please write costs of each item alongside, that are known to you.

                    Thanks

                    • Hi Sunny: Check these sites for a rough idea of prices of various products. What you will get in shops will be at par or lower (if you can bargain) than these. You may also try ordering online.

                      Raw Adventures, India

Besides checking for the dealers of respective sites, do visit Karol Bagh in Delhi. You will find few shops there.

For the budget part. Expect to carry 5500-9000 for a decent jacket and 1000-2500 for gloves.

                            • Need suggestions for Riding Jacket

Hey guys...just a few days back had a minor accident with my Apache RTR. Though my bike suffered nothing, i had some (minor) cuts on my right elbow and shoulder. Was really slow so nothing serious happened, thanks to God. Anyways guys, just after that I realised that now its time to invest in a good jacket. I am from Kolkata...and its really humid out here. My fellow Kolkata Xbhpians will agree to that. What I need is some suggestions from you guys and specially my fellow Kolkata Xbhpians about which jacket to buy for this kind of weather. I was thinking about the Cramster Breezer 4.0, the DSG Maze and DSG Nero jackets. Cramster boasts Breezer to be about the perfect all weather jacket and will be comfortable in hot and humid climates. Nothing special is written about the Maze and Nero. So guys please let me choose the correct jacket. Thanks guys.

Consider Rjays Octane too. It has got very good ventilation and decent protection.
