8800GT is still a fantastic GPU. Plus, its coming with 512MB of DDR3 vRAM and 112 shader processors with 1.2Ghz+ frequency!
As for prices yes its still in between 9-10K here in delhi. However, be very conscious while choosing the brand. If possible go with either XFX/MSI/Palit.
Btw, there is another and a better option. Nvidia 9800GT from Palit is available for just 8500/- at NP!
Two advantages: 9-series architecture and secondly, better overclocking due to 65nm process!


From COD4, TC: Ghost Recon 2, TC: Las Vegas, Stalker:SOC/CS, GOW, Far Cry2 to racing games like Grid, NFS:Carbon...8800GT/9800GT is able to run them with every single detail cranked on.
Crysis on the other hand has plethora of issues with every other GPUs in the market.
Plus, 8800GT can push 30+ framerates even with AF enabled @ 1024 resolution. So, no problemo!

Anyways , i have couple of options now.
1. get the graphics card.
2. get an moded Xbox 360 if tat is available and get P games if available.
3. wait for PS3 80G.

So wat do u guys suggest ?
Also wats the cost of xbox 360 in gray ? cause moded gray main hi milega na ?

@chilled: I don't really think any one brand is "better" than the other, but I have been using the XFX cards for quite some-time now, and it's performance cannot be questioned.

Out of the 3 options that you have, I would say get the XBOX 360 from the gray and get the "P" games and enjoy! As for the price of the 360, I am not so sure how much of a hole it is going to burn in your pocket.

^^^ yeah i know, iam also of the opinion of getting an xbox 360 , also most of the online compare says xbox 360 is better than PS3.
Also am not so keen on playin games on my PC even thou i have a 19" wide screen LCD and surround sound.
I always felt playin pn PS2 better with 32" Sony TV and sony's home theatre

Anyways will have have to now find out frm whr in mumbai do i get xbox 360 for P games (does anyone has any idea here ??)

@pranay: I just played through the demo of Rainow Six: Las Vegas 2 and I didn't quite like the second iteration of the series, hence, I despised from getting the full version..

started playing COD WaW. completed 2 missions. so far looked good. Almost similar to COD4 but the game play is different, japanese ambushes are awesome. guys jump on to you suddenly from bushes. when you are least expecting them.

But i cant save my profile.Every time i restart game it starts from the beginin

I have played and completed DiRT already, a wonderful game. Loved it, I didn't face any kind of problems with it. I wonder what is wrong with your copy..

@pranay,
its just like another Tom Clancy's title. Commendable graphics and nice first person shooting experience. However, true as Aryan said...the game isnt that good as compared to its first installment.
Instead, why dont u try Ghost Recon:AW 2 or Splinter Cell Double Agent ! Both are awesome titles.
