Guys a bad idea from me,can we put fevicol(Glue used to stick paper) on a portion of K&N Filters to reduce air intake? So that the bike wont run lean. When they are dried, they becomes like a rubber. Hehe, just my thought! Will it work?what you guys say?

Installing Simota Air filter in my FZ

    Hi Guys,

Wanted to install Simota air filters and bigger valves on my FZ.

Are the air filters even available for the FZ ? What valve sizes would i need ?

Will they be an easy DIY, or will need to go to a mechanic.

If I do even manage to find me some, would someone be able to guide me.

I'm in Pune. So any help pointing me in the right direction will be helpful.

I can probably do a DIY video and post it to help other members

    Installation of K&N filter

I heard that there is this new K&N filter exclusively for Pulsars.
    It costs around 2.6K.
I don't mind spending that much of cash but i want to know whether it would be worth the money.
And also will it affect my bike's warranty?
btw there is is this Thak-thak sound coming from my chain.
    What could it be?
    thank you.

Dont know about cutting short method,After Fixing K&N and upjetting there will be an increase of only 0.3 to 0.5 max and it will be unnoticeable in most cases.

2)why does the exhaust sound changes after upgrading to K&N airfilter technical reason????
It is a Free Flow Filter,So it allows more air in to the engine and thus more air will be blown out,as the stock exhaust is made for stock filter, which allows less air than K&N,Sound varies,Just my thought...

K&n air filter for indian bike

if the k&n filter fit right into ur air box, than what u do is rejet the curb to match air flow, it's simple as that. for fi one ask ur bike dealer if ur bike have o2 sensors if yes u can fit k&n filter' o2 sensors will automatically increase/decrease the rich mixture according to free air flow of k&n filter. if u don't have o2 sensors than don't install k&n filter as this will make more lean mixture and could damage ur engine.. u get what u want? if u want to increase the power than u have to change ur exhaust to free flow one. otherwise 0.3 or 0.4 bhp will increase with decrease of mileage + 2000 bucks...

First of all:Why do you want to go for K&N AirFilter? Do you think there will be a huge power increase? If yes, then you are wrong, even after putting correct jets and other proper adjustments, you may get an increase of 0.3-0.5hp,with a big loose in mileage and 2000+ bucks. So if you are ready to spend 2000+ and sacrifice mileage for just 0.3hp(even it is unnoticable) .so I wont suggest K&N to any one ,and K&N without upjetting will overheat your bikes engine and will make you engine damage soon,So Stick to stock if you are planning to use your engine for longtime.

I had used K&N in my karizma for just 1week and removed it after knowing these facts.
