I am new to this community.

Recently I put on a Cosworth performance filter in my Activa & i am just enjoying the experience.

It was suggested to me by my friend & I was not sure about putting it.Now that I have installed it I cant believe I am having fun with the vrrroooommm racing sound of my bike and the speed with which i can ride is just fun.

I am impressed with this Cosworth filter.

    K&N for Pulsar 180 UG-IV

    Hey there!!!!
Iam Planning to install a RC 1060 K&N filter on my Pulsar 180
Any suggestions please let me know....
The bike has clocked 25,000kms and returns an economy of 30-35kmpl..
Top speed is around 130kmph but riding usually occours 115-120 kmph....
Well my office is on highway NH-4.....so do get to achieve such speeds in the morning......

All i want to know is will be of any difference and upgrade in the numbers mentioned and are there any damages to the engine (heard lot of em saying its a slow killer)....

Installation guide required too if its a boom!!!!!

The main reason is for the sound of the bike......deeply in love with the sound......

Iam thinking of installing a KNN RC1060 to my Pulsar 180 UG-IV.
    Current status-
    25,000kms mark achieved
    Ridden usually around 6-8k RPM
    Fuel economy---30-35kmpl
Bike reaches a top speed of 125-130kmph if redlined.....

    I need some help here-
    1) changes that will be required.... rejecting or anything from core installation to use. where the filter is usually installed...directly to carb or inside the filter box!!!! These notes will be handy for the mechanic!!!
    2) changes that will be seen after installation in terms of average or top speed or engine wear and tear ( Maintenance problems, if any)

Very curious regarding the upgrade as i do not wish to spoil the performance if this filter is of no use!!!!!
Jetting is a must and if done properly, you will see some performance gain. But after using K&N on 2 of my bikes, i feel its not worth it. IMO, K&N conical filters does not filter as effectively as it should and doesnt suit our Indian conditions. Hence could result in more damage than gain.

    hi guys
am planning to get a free flow air filter installed on my fz-16
    everyone is suggesting rc-1060.
i have rode fz's fitted with rc-1060 and rc-1100 and find them pretty ineffective .
someone suggested to try out ru-0200 .
ru-0200 costs twice as much as rc-1060 .

so, can someone tell me if fitting in an ru-0200 for that much would make a significant difference in performance or will it be ineffective like the rc series ?

    thanks.

I am planning to install K&N, and maybe a Free Flow (I dont really like the thick sound from it) , and I live in Mumbai. It would be great if you guys could recommend me a place where I could buy these accessories and perhaps somewhere where I can get proper fitting done. I dont want to follow the trial and error method, I am sure that there are experienced people around who can execute a nice job.

My budget is 3k (Just for K&N + Spark Plugs, Labor, etc) I dont mind paying a little extra if I get results, and I will only buy a Free Flow exhaust that has been tested before, and is made by an established company specifically for my bike.
