Hey Thilak, you can try out Joel's Simota replacement filter for your R15. I find K&Ns overpriced for what they offer.

Thanks for the heads-up! I plan on keeping my bike stock! I'll probably opt for an HID once I sort-out the electrical. As far as the airfilter goes, I just wanted to get the word out, that's all.

I don't think it makes sense to plonk in an airfilter without any other performance mods.

Has anybody tried out K&N's OEM Replacement Air Filter for R15?

I was just digging around K&N’s website, and I found a replacement air filter (YA-1208) which fits directly on the R15 without any modification, or atleast that’s what the website claims. I just wanted to know, if any of you have tried it out?

Unfortunately,I do not trust mechanics with such jobs so no upjetting performed

how much does the filter costs ?

1750 for the filter 50 rupees for the fitting-Total cost 1800 Rupees(2100 was the initial price)

If not upjetted,Close the filter box with its cover,so it wont become very lean.

The last photo was taken during installation,so the lid is back on
For the RC 1060,he quoted me a price of 1450,as he tells me that he has a lot of them.He also showed me a new kid on the block i.e,the cosworth air filter which was also the costliest.
In terms of performance,he ranked the Cosworth first,Green second and the K&N third.
I did not like the cosworth much(the sticker did not appeal to me!)but loved the two stickers that came with the Green........one is grey(refer picture) and another one is radioactive green(i've saved it for a special mod)

whats the part number of the air filter in the first gen honda Aviator??
seems the new one has a different type and not compactable with the older one!!

Ask your ASC for correct spare,they will have the parts manual for each model.

^^ changed it months ago, at some 9k.. My dusty riding environment asks for that.

Yeah,If riding in dusty areas,it will need earlier replacement.
