Own a 102cc Honda Aviator which has the 'paper filter'.
mileage at 11k kms and with the choking drives, wanted to change it but the paper airfilter wasn't in stock as the new aviator has the 'viscous filter'.

waited for 3 months and lost hopes in Honda and today bought the visocus filter.in appearance its all the same except for the color.
the paper filter being yellow and viscous filter being green.
it has same size and filter holder shape is same.

did a DIY and the Aviator just got a new life.

Guys, upjetting is needed. Atleast for performance gain.
Even if next higher size jets are used with stock air filter, it will give slight bump in performance.

Hehe,Whats the stock jet size of FZ? Normally 10-15+ Stock Size.

BTW, I already know nothings possible without upjetting, but just posted for information's sake.

I have RC-1060 installed on my bike and even I received an email from K&N Tech support in response to my query and they clearly mentioned that there is no need to up-jet/re-jet your bike. I did provide enough details of my bike P180 UG2. I was a little worried but I hope they know and understand the tech details about the smaller capacity bikes made in India. There response is suprising but true ...

Help ME: K&N Air filter for Pulsar 150(2003).

Hi guys my first post on Xbhp..Ok the matter is that my bro-in-law is giving me his (almost 9 y old ) pulsar 150,as he is getting his new RE-Thunderbird TS ..
So in 9 years the bike has gone under all types of treatment,my bro-n-law has even had accidents on the bike.
So after gettin i was thinking of installing a K&N BA-1801 on it..along with iridium spark plug and Spitfire cables..
I have searched on many forums nut didnt get enough info on this exact model..

So is it worth installing a BA-1801 along with iridium plug and spitfire cable???

I have a few more doubts??pls help me with these...

1)I have heard that when we install a RC-1060 or R1100 we need to retune(jetting) the carb to mantain an optimum mixture ratio as more air starts to come in..
So why is there NO NEED to retune after installing the BA-1801 ???Doesn't the airflow increase with this filter????If not what is the use of a K&N filter???? i mean if the airflow increases then u gotta retune the carb but why not in this case?????
    pls help.

2)After installing the Air filter is it better to install a IRIDIUM or SPITFIRE spark plug??
because IRIDIUM=High conductivity..but SPITFIRE=two sparks..i am asking this because my pulsar is NOT DTS-i so only one spark plug is there...So which will be better
    a iridium(High conductivity) or spitfire(two sparks)???Please explain in detail

3)Is it worth the spitfire low resistance spark plug cable??

Please explain these matters in detail as i am a noob here,,but i do have great intrest in the subject,,infact m a mechanical engineer(2nd year)..
And also mention the cost of the Spark plugs and cables

    Thanks in Advance.....

    Pulsar 180 Overheating

    Hi,

I own a 2008 Bajaj Pulsar 180 Dtsi.. Roughly 30000 miles on speedo.. Recently I added a K&n filter and the bike was doing good. Now the engine has started overheating.. I read few posts on other forums and realised that I will have to do an upjetting as the fuel and air mixture is not appropriate.. The bike has Mikuni carb with 117 Main Jet.. Need help.. Which size of main jet would be appropriate??? Please let me know in case anything else might have caused overheating..
