@Devil ... I am not talking about how a bike sticks to the road or how it shakes @ 170 miles/hr. I am talking about turning radius, how much force u need to apply to turn at various speeds, how maneuverable it is, how easy is it to steer for long hours!

And "Super Sport" bikes are build to Race, they are not build to go from point A to point B and then back to point A every single day especially when point A is some 60 odd miles away from point B and still be excited to ride it the next day!

I think biking is not just about how fast you can go, but how much you can associate yourself with it. I wanted to have something which i could fit in everything i do and i am glad i found a ninja

P.S. I am a Honda fan and wish to own a CBR1000RR some day, till then its a 650R all the way ... ZZ ZZ ZZ ZZ ZZ [thats how it sounds]

Yes .. These are only ones i rode, so not bringing anything else in between

    650R specs are -
    0 - 60 mph - 3.84 sec.
    0 - 100 mph - 10.95 sec.

I totally agree with you that the handling of 650r is exactly like your CBZ. (outclassed and outdated)

Anyways getting back to "I am going to win this argument" Game:

Viswas you finally got something right! Yeah.. R6 as in manufactured by Yamaha

And how i wish we had the figures [posted by you] work as they look on a piece of paper or on a dedicated track!

BTW maybe i live in a real world, as in:
    1. There is no straight road which goes directly from my house to my office, malls, theaters, shopping complexes, parks etc.
    2. The roads i travel on generally have all kinds of vehicles on it i.e. 4 wheelers, 6 wheelers, 16 wheelers.
    3. There are speeds limits with max allowed speed till date as 65 miles/hr.

Class is a big word, and once established it never fades. Probably you wouldn't know, so i dont blame you

I don't see you qualifying your earlier statement that 650R can easily beat a R6 till 100 miles/hr. You have never mentioned that it has to be on public roads. When you say something, you should be able to prove it. If you wish, you ride your beloved 650, I will ride a R6 and let's see who reaches 100 miles/hr first. Loser apologizes publicly. BTW, I don't like R6 much.... too aggressive for my tastes (however tasteless they may be)

Are we changing track here from how 650r is faster than R6 to how it is more comfortable to ride on? No one said that it was uncomfortable for riding. You popped in saying that 650r is faster than R6 till 100 miles/hr.

R6 can show its taillights to 650r in any road inspite of all offices, malls, theatres, vehicles, speed limits etc. Only thing is the rider should know how to sit on it, how to balance and how to shift gears. Oooooh, forgot to mention that he also has to twist the right hand side of the handlgrip.

First decide on what you want to argue and then please stick to your argument.
Never argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and then beat you with experience.

@All Debaters! R6, ZX-6R, CBR600RR, CB1000R, CBR1000RR are all above Jakrap's Budget..and apart from that.. the 1st 3 aren't coming to India very soon. Please stick to the topic rather than indulging in unnecessary / irrelevant debates (fanboyism ) on whether R6 is faster than 650R (Everybody knows which one is faster). The topic was 650R Vs GT650R Vs anything else within 5.5-6 lac . I request everybody including TS to stick to the topic.
Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

I don't think anything worth Jakrap's needs is about to be launched anytime soon.
We haven't got confirmed news, have we?

I am sticking to what i said! I never said i raced a R6 on a racetrack, i have no clue where u read that?

I should be crazy (which i am not) to claim that a 650R (parallel twin) is faster than R6 (4 in line) in straight line!! Now if you have issues understanding what i wrote, maybe i need to be more clear in what i type

Breaking is amazingly Rock-Solid. Better than any other bike in the same class.

A week back went with one of my friend who wanted to buy a 250R. It was 2009 model, just 1000 miles. I took it for a spin and felt like i was riding my CBZ back home

I have quoted your earlier post in total. You have claimed that - 'FYI 650R can easily beat a R6 till 100m/hr and then off-course extra money pays off ' and now you are claiming - 'I should be crazy (which i am not) to claim that a 650R (parallel twin) is faster than R6 (4 in line) in straight line!!.' You are again writing in the next para as - 'And not to forget in case of a R6 u have twist it a little more further'

I think you are confused about exactly why and what you are arguing about. Here you are again writing that Beating same category bikes to 100 on a normal road is a days work. By what stretch of your imagination is R6 and 650R in the same category?

I get pissed off when people make comments without understanding what they are writing and then try to defend an undefensible position.

@cool_dude_sunn_y: FYI, you do not need a 650R to beat a R6 in traffic.. a Pulsar 150 DTSi will do. Provided the person in R6 knows only to drive a 4 wheeler.

                    @trustvishwas: Dude, chill.
Everyone here knows the fact.. let alone cool_dude's comments.. some people keep arguing without making sense to themselves.. I like what your signature says.. and it is true.. it is a right place to apply that here..

Nope, in that case you will get a case of cat and mouse through traffic, where both people risk dying. The P150 will win in most cases because the owner of the 600 won't be stupid enough to go race in traffic.

@ CDS - Bhai, kya musibat mol le li. Why to offer your experience to the people who are not receptive to your ideas and opinion even when you have qualified them with certain conditions lately.

There are many flaws and outright inflamatory remarks in the comments of others but just leave this thread and share you valuable experience with those who are eager, and who can receive some guestimate opinion also.

You wouldnt even need a Pulsar 150. A girl on a Honda Activa did that to me once while on the Ninja on the Aundh-Pimple (Pune) saudagar stretch in heavy traffic. I would zoom off and get caught in the traffic on the reds and then she would overtake me in the traffic by zig-zagging across traffic and she would be a long way ahead of me by the time light goes green. THen I would rip and overtake her and get caught in traffic and the same thing would repeat overall again. The sad part is she reached pimple saudagar ahead of me Every time she crossed me, her pillion gave me that "Boy, your toy is no good" kinda look

But then why should boys have the fun always?? . Some times you should let the girsl win too!

Mate there is nothing wrong being said about CDS here. Dont take it personal.
CDS has expressed some opinion which has shaken up some superbikers on the forum.
To be explicit he siad that the 650R is faster than an R6 till 0-100mph. But the facts are against him as vishwas pointed out. I would love to have believed him too (infact think abt all those guys who spend so much money on an R6 and getting beaten by a 650R. I would have loved it if i had a 650R)
Then he has comeback and put a caveat that it is in traffic conditions. I would definitely agree on that. Read my post above. But then he would need to clarify what kind of traffic conditions he is talking about. Different people have different ways of interpreting the same scenario. (India has too much diversity for its own good sometimes)

As long as he can defend himself on his opinions he is welcome to do so and we are all ears.

Are Bhai, this is what I am infering from this whole episode that CDS has not met any R6 rider with balls of meat who can defeat him on his 650R on the open roads of United State of America (what you people call them Autobahn or what in America) till the speedo shows figures equivalent to 100kmph in miles or so.

Kash, hum bhi R6, 650R, and CBR 600 R ke bare mein aise baat kar paate!

And you lucky people are fighting like anything.

And I would like to be defeated even on R15 by a R6 or 650R rider just for experience sake.

Please dont bash up the 650R..Poor souls do need to own their super bikes too (I know its not a superbike but still).
