I have now decided to take a test drive of following bikes. (in order of degree of my interest in each)

    1-CBR 150R + 250R
    2-P200NS
    3-Karizma R + ZMR
    4-Avenger 220

@Avenger220 owners - I m still waiting for your critics. (plz elaborate comfort level in accordance with my height, which is ~ 6').

I think it will take another 1-2 months for me to lay my hands on each of these bikes for TDs. I will surely let you guys know the bike I will buy.

@ Moderators- I don't think that avenger owners are really the "helping" types and as I have made up my mind, please tell me the next steps of "what-bike" customs for continuing this thread. (I mean if its really necessary then you people can close this thread).

@All- Thanks for all your inputs. Really appreciate the sincerity of suggestions. You guys are F-ing awesome.

Who cares about what you think. I have a manufacturer to defend and I shall do that using every key in my keyboard, so what if none of it actually makes any sense! lol

    IMO

    1-CBR 150R + 250R
    2-P200NS
    3-Karizma R + ZMR
    4-Avenger 220

Chuck the CBR150R its a lethargic bike to ride, the R15 is much better in street coinditions than the CBR150R. May be try that

P200NS is still some time away.

ZMA-R is nice to buy but remember its an oldest war horse in this industry, the first 200+cc bike by a manufacturer who has a lot of firsts, but is yet never appreciated. So be ready to be flamed by fanboys if you buy this bike. The bike is extremley comfortable, has bad plastic parts and atrocious spares prize, but is a gem of an engine that anybody can fall in love with it. No wonder a lot of old hats still call it a potent tourer

ZMR - Interesting gadgetory, but in my eye its hideous. Does what its supposed to do very well. Bikes arent about the top speed they deliver or what they can do. Its about what you intend to do with them and how it suits you. The ZMR is way more reliable than the average joe bikes in India.

the A220 - I have been a A180 owner, the bike is extremely comfortable, especially for a pillion. Its also an outdated design and with the way things are going you never know when BAL decides to pull the plug off the avenger.... and that is NOT a good sign.

Well from your requirements it seems you need a mix of city riding and touring and for that, i don't think cbr150r would be a good option as it is pretty much track focussed and really low on torque.

I would suggest to check with these bikes
      1. P200NS
      2. ZMR
      3. Duke200

all of the above are well within your budget. Duke would cost you around 10k more but it would be worth it.

Also, if you think you can go for CBR250r, then thats the bike to go for as she has all what you've asked for.

so which manufacturer it is you think?

mods please close this thread.it is my earnest request.the ts is confused to hell and i don't think he is really intersted in getting a bike.i don't want to be a part of a hypothetical brand war either.
and the question remains why do i race?

for city run fz will be better but as a tourer fazer completely fails as with 14 ps power and more torque at low end overtaking on highways will be pain.

Dude, whats it with you? (please have a look at post #70) I have already asked moderators to close it if its necessary....
Do you really think in your rational senses that I would write such big of a requirement list when I was not interested in getting a bike. (I mean who does that ?? )

I am perfectly happy with my choices for TDs.

              @Mods- please close this thread

              nothing more to say.

this thread has reached 9 th page,we had lots of unnecessary fights and you are not yet resolved.hence my conclusion.
i should have written that you are not interested in getting a bike right now. peace

Monoshock's like the ones used in Uni and FZ when fitted on a bike like the ZMA and ZMR, causes the bike to wobble at speeds which they are meant to handle effortlessly i.e 110Kmph+. And if you're expecting the same quality and feel from a monoshock, which the Karizma's dual shocks provide, then obviously the manufacturing cost of the bike would shoot up.
And another arguable point of sticking with dual shocks is that, in a country like India we actually do need them more than we think we do.

And about liquid cooling, why fix something that its not faulty/broken??? The Karizma is a swell performer in its current state, so why would the manufacturers add something thats not necessary which would obviously bump up the manufacturing cost as well???

may be they should start providing them to start entertaining rider
You want entertainment, go get a GameBoy or better a PlayStation.

why not r15,cbr 150r,rtr 180,rtr abs.why it always have to be a zma?
RTR ABS > Cause the rider never specified the need for ABS.

RTR180 > Cause its top speed is 124Kmph and the OP wanted 125Kmph.

R15 > Cause its top speed is 135Kmph and costs close to 1.20L.

                  CBR150 > Same reason why I skipped the R15.

Now tell me, your shoe size is 10, so if 11 was available at the same price would you opt for it, thinking opstimistically that it'd benefit you, if by some supernatural force your leg grew a size over night???

Not now I guess. Cause my rides almost a year old and have suffered a few spills and yet the pastics havent broken. Infact all fibers are the ones that came with the bike.

Not completely hypothetical, cause while riding the Uni on a straight road (Kerala Xbhpians - Asramam Link Road) the bike started waving, so I assumed that the same scenereo would happen and that too at an amplified rate when riding a ZMA. Since its faster and heavier.

                      actually i have one.
Lucky you. My folks wont allow me get one since it costs 9k.

Thank you, thank you.... But seriously. It would literally kill you if you take it past 110Kmph on our highways, the bike gives tremendous feedback which for some riders is unacceptable.

afaik monoshocks are better at cornering,at high speeds bike wobbles at corners if suspension is set softer.stiffer suspension are better at high speed.
now about amplified rate in case of zma theory ,i seriously don't find any logic.

took a rtr to 129 kmph speedo indicated.see i am still alive.
the throttle response of rtr is a boon in city traffic with its short foot print and light weight.
