Adnan Manna , 200NS is not for short height-ed people. I am 5.10" and the seat feels high.
Gixxer on the other hand is meant for shorter people.

Okay.What is your inseam bro?
You see things vacationing on a motorcycle in a way that is completely different from any other. In a car you're always in a compartment, and because you're used to it you don't realize that through that car window everything you see is just more TV. You're a passive observer and it is all moving by you boringly in a frame. ~Robert Pirsig

Sorry i don't know the meaning of inseam?
Btw, for your weight you need NS as it has good amount of torque whereas height wise it may not suit you. Take a test ride of both.

Stick to stock tyre sizes. That is what ill recommend. The company isnt a fool and i think a lot of thinking goes into deciding a tyre size for a bike.
If you replace the euogrips with stock good quality tyres, it'll handle much much better. I have replaced them with michelins and the difference is amazing. The sizes are still stock.

NO I meant that as a means to get a rounder and wider tyre profile without reducing the tyre wall size which would ensure the tyre fits with a wider fit than it would if it were on its stock size rim. Anyway I saw the error in my statement already but thanx for pointing it out anyway. I know I was wrong.

Gixxer is too tiny a bike compared to pulsar. I feel it is too congested for two normal built people to travel, just like suzuki hayate.

Planning on 200NS. I'm just REALLY afraid of the things I read on the 200NS ownership thread. And yes,I saw a 200NS with a 150 section rear tire.Looked pretty bad***.

Sorry for the late reply,my sem exams are going on.It's full of people complaining about the problems they're facing. But I think those are with the 2012 models.Well at least I hope so.I will 99% but the 200ns over the Gixxer. Can anyone confirm about the 2014 model's reliability? And 200ns doesn't have a kickstarter right? How is the electric starter? Any time the electric starter got spoilt after frequent use? And is it possible to mount the fairing of Yamaha Fazer? Has anyone done this? How much would it cost?

Also, when buying the bike (200NS),can I ask for a change of tires? What conditions apply? Can I get my own set of tires and tell them to replace them or do they have a catalog of "permissible" tires? Do I void warranty if I install wider and/or different tires?

Most of the problems that were present in the early models are fixed in the new models, So it sould be pretty reliable and niggle free.

No you wont get a kick starter in any of the new bikes, and the electric starter works fine all the time, if the bike and the battrey is properly maintained and serviced, no problems at all. I cannot comment about it in winters, because my bike is fuel injected and it starts with the first crank even at freezing temperatures, NS having a caburettor may give problems starting in winters. NS owners can shed some light on it.

Also the company knows that there is no kick starter, so they make the electric pretty robust, so it does not go wrong even after repeated use. I will again add, the bike and the battery should be well maintained, to make make sure that the bike does not fail you in the middle of the long journey.
For example, If the spark plugs are old and the air filter is clogged, there is nothing a electric starter and a new battery can do, similarly if the battery is old and not retaining charge in it, it will go dead and the electric starter will not work even if the engine is in pristine condition. SO both should be taken care of equallly.

It maybe possible to mount the fazer fairing on NS by a lot of "JUGAAD".... But WHY?? NS is a heavy bike to start with, why add more weight to it. More ever it will spoil the handling and everything. And this "JUGAAD" is going to vibrate a lot after 50kmph. Not to mention the holes that has to be drilled in your brand new bike, the welding that has to be done. Its not a smart move. At the end its your choice.

I think Bajaj is giving a choice of tyres, the Crappy Eurogrips and the good MRFs. So you can choose MRFs over Eurogrip. But they both will be stock size, and to be honest MRFs are pretty good to start with, you wont feel the need to replace them any time soon.

All the best for the bike hunt.
Ride safe.
I would like to thank my legs for supporting me, my arms for being always by my side and my fingers; I could always count on them.

No problems with carb ns.
If your AFR is right, then bike comes to life in one crank even at 5'c (tested as of 7 hours ago of this post ) .
Generally, premium and sports segment bike don't feature kick, as when it backfires, you can seriously injure your leg (RE owners know how scary it is ) .
New ns comes with mrf tyres from factory ,not with euroslips anymore .so you don't need to spend money.

Thank you both bros for answering so quickly and elaborately !

I called the Bajaj showroom yesterday and asked for the OTR price. They said it was 1lakh 4 thousand one hundred something. It's 4 thousand rupees cheaper than a year ago!

Ankey, I guess you are right. Doing such a mod on a brand new bike is just stupid. Thanks for making me realize.

Anuj, thank god they did that change. "Euroslip", lol. But I was thinking of installing Pirelli Sport Demons by giving the stock tires back to the showroom on purchase. Is it possible?
