Though there has not been any announcement from the company

My dad is 59 years old.. He wants to buy himself a royal enfield classic 350. He has back pain issues. So his friends keep on saying that RE has vibrations which might increase his back pain.. Does RE have a lot of vibrations? And my dad has a fit body Except this back pain issue, so can i suggest him to buy a royal enfield? His rides will be short city rides like going to shop and all.. Please suggest me guys..

I was not an RE fan boy untill few days back, but dunno somewhere down my heart it says you gotta buy one RE just for its brand, power, looks and legendary status.
Also my budget is +/- 2L

Good to hear that. Just as to not sound like a Typical RE Fan Boy, what i meant was, Go for an RE only if you Want to Buy an RE.

If you look at it statistically, then perhaps the other bikes would trump over a RE.

thank you for the valuable inputs.Will defenitely go for bullet 500.A dealer said company might give bullet 500 bs4 FI to the dealers for test drive in a weeks time.Will do couple of test rides and book it accordingly

Also i think it has more to do with Engine and Gearbox being in same casing (but then were the Prev AVL and Cast Iron engines made with Engine and Gear box under separate casings? this perhaps prev owners could shed some more light at!)

People who buy RE are usually those whose Heart chooses to Buy RE and then the mind Just ends up justifying the bike logically as per heart's requirement

So your answer is in the question asked by you. 80% leaning towards STD BULLET 500 BS4. if that's the model you like then that's the one you should buy.

Other than that, Large Single Cylinder Long stroke Engine, cannot escape vibes. Coming from Pulsar and CBR it will take some Getting Adjusted to. Take more TD. Find colleagues who have the RE models you seek and check if they agree to let you TD their bike.

Guyz, I am new to this forum.
Need advise on which RE bike to go for - Std Bullet 500cc bs4 FI or The New Himalayan FI 2017 as this will be my first RE bike.I have a cbr250 too.
I did new himalayan test ride and was happy with the power and the seating comfort.Not RE has sorted out all.the issues in the earlier Himalayan.
I did bullet 500 bs3 test ride as bs4 FI was not yet given for test ride to any dealers except for the display piece.
I felt lot of vibrations in the bullet 500 bs3 version , but i liked the bike for its sheer power and built whereas Himalayan can squeeze through corners easily and also easy handling in traffic or long rides.
Many people infact every single person whom i ask is telling me to go for Std Bullet 500 bs4...
My main purpose of bullet is for below 2 reasons :
1) i get back pain in cbr when going on long rides due to seating and handle bar position.Apart from this , cbr is a awesome bike.
2) I use bullet only for touring purpose as I have pulsar 180 for daily comuting.

Kindly advise which one to go for.80% I am inclining towards bullet 500 bs4.
Also another thing is since bullet 500 bs4 FI is not yet given for test ride, can I go ahead with the booking or wait till I get a test ride of the new version.
