Re: Sold Pulsar 220 , now which next ?
I think ride quality by itself means the comfort and shock absorbing ability on bad roads.
Does that mean 200NS has better ride quality compared to P220 on bad roads?Originally posted by vvk1999 View PostBekaar ...

What are the other factors that you have found are better in 200NS when compared to P220?

Soft suspension tends to better ride quality but has its own problems like bottoming out in big potholes , cant handle weight above 200kgs (rider+pillion+luggage) , front heaviness etcOriginally posted by jetsetgo08 View PostI think ride quality by itself means the comfort and shock absorbing ability on bad roads.

This was the case with p220
Now ,ns200 has stiff suspension which leads to bumpy ride quality when riding alone , but it has ability to carry more weight (200+kg) & when loaded gives a good ride quality , it don't bottom out like p220

1.
First & the best , the engine. its like
a pocket rocket , builds up speed in no time , refinement is best , gear slotting is perfect in short , best engine from bajaj .
2.
Overall fit & finish is too good no rattling.
3.
Breaking: even though i have eurigrip tyres, the petal disc breaks are one of the best . You can easily predict their behavior of locking.
4.
Refinement when engine gets hot is excellent. Whereas p220 tends to loose its refinement after mare 20-30km of continue ripping . That means ns200 is a touring machine.
P220 over ns200 :
1. Riding posture & comfort ,excellent .
2. Headlights: excellent
3. Simplest designed , anyone can repair it .
4. Exhaust note .

Re: Sold Pulsar 220 , now which next ?
Ns200 builds up rpm too fast compared to p220 , so the maximum torque rpm is achieved earlier which leads to good acceleration comparatively.Originally posted by maxi View PostThats what i felt. 200ns really feels like a pocket rocket compared to 220? So much difference in accelaration?
Correct me if i m wrong in any way .
That's 100 percent true , in gear acceleration is poor in ns200 due to low torque . frequent gear shift s r required.Originally posted by Bibhu View PostLow end torque is better in the 220.

Yes you are right, the ns/as have a much shorter stroke than the 220, combined with a 4v head they rev much quicker so accelerate quicker as well. its longer stroke has better bottom end so feels torquier.

The 220 pulls cleanly from 2500 rpm but runs slower compared to ns. The ns feels dead below 4000 rpm but beyond that it runs much faster.

Re: Sold Pulsar 220 , now which next ?
Currently p220 is in its 3 or 4 th facelift , so probably all problems are sorted out .Originally posted by maxi View PostRiding style and mileage comparing with the former.
But ns200 got discontinued after 2nd facelift, has some problem s too
Like gear lever , break paddle placed awkwardly etc .
So Riding style needs to change according to rider .
About mileage , same or less than p220 , since ns200 has high revving engine , tends to loose efficiency as rpm increases

Re: Sold Pulsar 220 , now which next ?
pulsar 200 ns was stopped for better sales of as 200
and most of the pulsar 220 riders say that the new as 200 is a appropriate replacement for 220 coz its old
and its also very vfm product
and even hearing rumors that ns and as 200 will be relaunched with fuel injection as soon as apache 200 hits the market
