the thread starter went to a trip to lonavla after posting this.

THis debate is never ending, FZ guy will praise his machine and RTR guy will do the same.

MODS please have a look here, and close this thread.

Who said RTR cant be used for cruising? it cruise all day at 80-90 kmh/r!!!it also turns out to be more Fuel efficient than the FZ! FZ is a commuter bike for the cities RTR is a performer! its your call!
DUDE!! I never meant that the RTR is not capable of cruising. With regards to the silenecer sound and vibrations no one would feel like cruising. Whereas in bikes like FZ, Unicorn etc. whose engines are pretty smooth and silent, you would just love to cruise. It's RTR's character to be loud and no one can regret it. It is built to do so. Again. NO HARD FEELINGS DUDE!!

n i am again off...on another trip from chandigarh 2 allahabad to meet my girlfrnd..!!
anyway sorry...what i wanna say is that i dunno abt apache but except the mileage prob. fz rocks..!!
n with that rear radial tyre...it becomes the show-stopper...!!

Some other points which I consider them..

The gear shift is not so smooth as fz.. another thing is the silencer gets very hot and FZ silencer does not get hot so the pillion does not have to face accidental burns.. another thing is the opening of the seat which is so simple in fz and in apache you have to open some panel and then you have to pull a wire then seat gets open and it is a lot of hassle to put it back.. here the police check paper of bike so its get very annoying to take out paper and give..

FZ front braking is almost perfect I agree that apache with a rear will score more but in emergency situation Fz braking will be better..

one thing more People who are still using the same old yamaha oil should upgrade to the motul oil then check the difference in the bike pickup and acceleration..

Ride apache for an hour who are not habitual to it will face back ache for sure..

Apache scores on FZ over the throttle response it is just too awesome... and mileage figures ofcourse.. if you ride apache sanely then you will get 50-55 ride fz sanely then 45-50.. check out the fz ownership experience many people who ride sanely our getting that mileage.. apache has a better meter console..

Apache 180 is a way too good performer should be compared with performance bike likes the p220 and r15.. but for the sane city riders fz is a better choice and for performance biking apache rox!

@kukku035: used FZ for more than a year never faced any alloy problem I have a 2009 batch fz-s might be things have gone better..

last thing: R1 is nothing infront of hero puch when it comes to looks dude!
