    Hi everyone,

I just got to know about a RX-Z for sale in a different city(luckily I have friends there) for 14,000/-(initially quoted 17,000/-, i would try reducing further). Expecting it to be in a bad condition(though the owner claims it to be in running condition), if I want to restore it to running condition(mechanically), is it a good buy?

I would also like to mod it a bit to increase the top speed and if possible, I would want to improve the handling and braking.
Right now, I am not inclined to anything on the aesthetics part.

How much will I need to spend, to get it back to working condition and for the mods?

Here is a picture, I could not make much out this pic, anyone here can find some details which I might have missed from this pic?

    • RXZ for 14000 only?
get to know about the engine from your friends there and which oversize the bore is running in.
is it the rxz 4 speed or 5 speed? looks like 4 speed from the pic.

14000 for a zee is loot price, cos in bangalore any condition the bike sells for more than 30k.
try getting more details about the bike.

          P 150 DTS-i
          Yamaha Fz 16
          TVS apache RTR fi

          Please suggest
Though you could have started a new thread for this, I am still replying here.

For fast manouvering: TVS RTR is the best, with FZ as a close second. Same for handling.
For comfort, ride quality: I would say FZ is better than RTR a bit.
P150 is like jack of all and master of none - it gives you avg on all the accounts.

So just weigh on your requirements and have a test ride for FZ and RTR and then decide. You can also list more detailed requirements so that others can help you with those: like mileage(RTR>FZ), price (FZ>RTR), and so on ..
