  • HUNK or GS150R

    Hello everyone,

I am seriously considering Hero Honda Hunk and the Suzuki GS150R. The lack of Suzuki service centers really worries me. The rusting of fuel tank and the high pillion rider position are the other two things bothering me.

Is the Hero Honda Hunk better when compared to these problems in the Suzuki GS150R ?

    Thank you,

I think it will be easy to suggest you,if you mention you requirements and your height?
dont worry about the rusting issues in gs150r.They are solved in the new batch of vehicles...

You can't go wrong with any bike. GS will give bit more mileage than Hunk. I didn't like the plastic muscles of Hunk which disable the use of tankbag, but some people love them. Go what your heart says.

All a bit every damn mileage figure earned depends on the type of riding. If your ride is focused on mileage then you can get some yummy chocolates for the money saved on fuel otherwise, be it a GS or Hunk everything is same for a ripper.

                HH Hunk Vs GS150R

                Hi,
                I am an Hunkian.
I have ridden the GS150R too.
I have found that the GS feels lighter then HH Hunk.
HH Hunk is having a very good handling then GS150R.
GS150R is having a "power mode" and 6th gear, which is missing in the Hunk.
Otherwise, the bike is almost same.
Ohh..... forget to mention, GS150r is having ultra smooth gearbox and engine. HH Hunk engine is also smooth but not that much of GS150R. But if you like Long rides on highways, you can go for HH Hunk because of the ease of riding.
Another thing, Hunk is having sporty sitting with toe lift gear paddle, which is missing in GS150R.
Now its your choice buddy, both are great.
                Move on.........

                  oooohhhh... very tough decision..
If only hunk would get a 6th gear.

Guys.. what about after sales service + the availability of service centers when on a long ride?

I am sorry but i cant comment on that particular post as i am inherently phobic to HH and HMSI and Honda and its India policies in general.

Anyways.. out of the two.. the GS is a more versatile bike and i would always recommend a GS over any HH/HMSI 150cc (Minus Dazzler).

As per requirement.. the recommended bike for you is GS150R.

The deeper difference b/w Hunk & GS

Having driven the above said bikes and personally owning a GS, i will say a GS wins over Hunk/any 150cc HH product anytime...

The only "concern" on the GS is the initial mass, pillion ht and wt, at standstill and stop-go traffic you will literally feel the need to have a FZ or say, Hunk/Pulsar ...to go through the openings...and am still not talking about when ur stuck in jam and have a fat buddy as pillion

The Hunk or any other lighter 150cc bike is better than GS here...

But once signal is Green and ur on 2nd gear onwards...the GS is pure class and refined aggression...

Literally speaking for going long distances and at 50+ speeds GS is class apart...High speed stability and refinement and throttle response has to driven to be believed...Hunk or any HH bike will never match the cruizing engine feel of a GS/unicorn/Karizma

My 2 buddies have Hunk and they are gaga over the GS

+ add to its the driving elephant presence and the build quality...
Just look at the switchgear of the Pulsar/RTR/HH bikes over that of a GS/Dazzler/FZ to see quality present for instance...

In short: Hunk is a regular bike which has a good soundtrack and lots of plastic...meant for attracting youth ...

GS is a bike meant for a certain purpose...covering distances comfortably with the maximum comfort and credible reliablity...& it does this job admiringly well

Its yours to pick based on the needs...

When would the company give xtra offers for buying a bike,, Should I book my bike at that time or should be delivered to me during that period ?

Look both dis bikes have some problems, as all the other members pointed those. So why not consider a third bike like Pulsar 135 LS. I think it'll defenitly
meet your needs. 150 segment is to much crwded so why not choose a 4 valve,135cc, with a decent power of 13.5 bhp.
U can use the overdrive feb issue for reference.
