Is the Hero Honda Hunk better when compared to these problems in the Suzuki GS150R ?

    Thank you,

    Rust on tank wasn't their in 2010 model GS;

i cant say anything about service as it depends on the dealer at your place
yes the servicing issue is applicable for Hunk too

you can refer this link for a good comparison between most of the 150 cc bikes

I would say try a 2 kms test drive on both and decide

Long drives in the Ghat sections and highways.

      Thank you.
Gs fits you perfectly,if you can manage with the height..
u mentioned ur 5ft 6"...so test ride and then decide..
suzuki engines do last long if maintained properly..

        Gs150

GS150 is technically a more superior bike than hunk.
No one can surely say that for 10 years use which bike is better.I think both will last with no major issues.
Availability of GS150 spare parts will be a issue as compared to HUNK.

looks like you have got 'n' thoughts of buying one..Simple solution is a Golden rule called the "Test Ride"
The rising petrol prices burn your pocket not your riding soul!

              Hi,

I own a hunk for the past two years. Its a good one. But the below points needs to be considered.

When you compare with GS150R, surely GS will win interms of build quality, engine (smooth, no vibes @105kmph, gear shift), performance and fuel economy. GS is better in all sorts in 150cc class i should say than HH Hunk.

I wish to suggest you to consider Honda Dazzler which i better than any 150cc bike present in the market today. As you know it holds the fine tuned unicorn engine for performance, it has plus like rear disk, mono shock semi digital pilot point. Above all Honda - the name you can trust.

Dude HMSI Dazzler - Have a test ride according to your riding nature and decide.
              Regards,
              Deva.

I don like the looks of new dazzler, and its too costly.. So.. else I would have considered it..
Yamaha released a new 150cc bike..is it any good and why does it cost so less than others?

If you can stretch, go for the Dazzler.

The new 150cc Motorcycle by Yamaha is for commuters and its stress is more on delivering KMPL rather than bringing a smile on enthusiast's face.

                    Deva,

How has been your experience with the Hunk in the past two years?
Also , how would you compare this bike with CBZ xtreme?

From what I know Hero Honda offers 3 year warranty on its bikes but the Hunk website mentions 2years/30,000 warranty for Hunk.Is that correct ?

Logically...there isnt much difference between GS150R or Hunk for matter any regular 150cc we have here...unless you are keen on Digital speedo.

As you said..you want you bike to last long for 10years (thats a looong time)...I would be inclined towards HH Hunk over GS150R for various reasons of A.S.S. (After sales service), Spares Avialablity, Extended Warranty prgram (very helpful in you case).

Dont mind about top speed...thats not what are these bikes meant to do daily, 6th Gear is definetly a miss on Hunk..but its just a overdrive that will help GS150R engine to be very little relaxed than Hunk. But still they have similar topspeed.

As, Abhijeet said already..the Mileage entriely depends on riding style..Hunk might end up giving you 35kmpl or may be 58kmpl or more. Same with GS150R.

I too was little confused with GS150R and HH Xtreme...but settled with Xtreme with very good satisfaction of my earlier Xtreme, A.S.S. of HH and did not found build quality and finising on GS150R good and Engine tends to get rough at higher RPMs even with 6th cog.

GS150R is heavier than Hunk, I've always considered GS150R as a commuter oriented bike where as Hunk as the one with little sporty stance with rearset and toe shifter. And We cant call the tank extensions as plastic unless they arent doing anything there. Ofcourse they add to the looks of the bike...it like saying fairing on R15 as plastic.

Anyways..there are rumors of upgrade to Xtreme/Hunk in next month..so wait and see.

Yamaha's new 150cc is more concentrated on low cost power commuting..and might not match to the performance of the other 150cc we have.

The difference between GS and Hunk are plastic muscles Hunk's tank will not let you put a tankbag.

All my touring..I havent used a tankbag (back pack and bag on rear seat using net).

Having a facility of using a tankbag must not be a criteria for selecting a bike.

I'm looking for 150cc bike too. So I'm on a spree of test rides (and quotations) these days.

GS costs around 68k + accessories. (haven't tried it yet)
Dazzler costs 71k + accessories. But you do get rear disc, more refined engine with smoother gearbox. Honda, you see.

If Dazzler is too costly you can look at classic (old) Unicorn. It costs same as GS.

I don't like look of Hunk. But I did try CBZ xtreme which share engine with Hunk. Its good. Its the same engine in Unicorn too. But its tweaked by HH to get slightly more power. (not as smooth as Unicorns)

If you are going to use your bike for commuting then you might miss low end performance in GS.
If you are going to use your bike on highways more then you might miss 6th gear in other bikes.

                                Its up to you.
