Hey, nice collection there. Im a big fan of vintage bikes. I hope they are in perfect working condition and you have all the documents for those bikes. The problem is that many bikes dont have documents.

                      Hi Powertwin.
Very good restoration. But wrong seat & number plate ( RE Bullet's?) & Tail Lamp. Seat looks out of place. Should have fitted sprung seat. I am also looking for a Tail Lamp & Number Plate for my BSA A50.
                      A Job well done

                        Sorry Sudharma Sir,
                        Thanks for your compliment !!!
                        BUT
I dont know about your BSA A50, as far as BSA c11 is considered, this rear Plunger suspension machine, had "Dual seat"......"what you see in the bike is Original seat plate" ...& foam fabrication was done after going through many books, which furnish details of the stock machine. ( even single saddle was available, but Dual seat stays as a identy of plunger bike)
Next about, " Rear number plate & tail Lamp": Please observe it & then come to a conclusion.......its pure BSA C11's number plate( not RE'S as you guess!!)
Tail lamp is the come Lucas type, which comes with most British bikes ( could'nt remember the part number).
                        About this BSA 2.5 :
First owner of this bike is a Indian at England
                        Proff. Rathore
He came to India ( coimbatore- Agricultural university) and got it registered at Coimbatore.
ps The bike was under service contract with " ELITE MOTORS"
                        car & Bike specilists.,
                        Tooting ltd.
                        Tooting, England.
There is a badge of this company on the SPINE portion of the Rear Number plate.
will post pics of the parts, you doubt.

                            Sudharma Ji,
Happen to go through a famous book ," BSA SINGLES RESTORATION" by Ray Becon. you will get better insight of this seat matter
                            !!!
will try to post some pics of BSA C11 from that book, once that book reaches me !!( some of our friend has taken for some referance...)

ps: One can take the above mentioned book as a reliable authority as far as
                            detailing BSA SINGLES concerned

This is the way the thread should go .....
@ nirvan: When sudharma sir, told it is Royal Enfeild number plate,........I rushed to my garage to click some close-up shots of my BSA 's NP& post it here !!, Not to show-off, that I had a original stuff,
Our ultimte aim is not to mislead the veiwers.
                                * you need no be as old as the machines we tallk about , Iam 1963 & my James ml bike is 1938.....what say bro ??
@ Sudharma sir: There is nothing wrong in it, Anyone can go wrong ( see the link you refered, has posted pics of a BSA C11G bike & titled as BSA C11................all in the game)
Sud ji, te bike yo have refered is a rear RIGID frme one, hence sprung saddle , even C11 has that provision to hold spring single saddl e, since at early '50's only most of the Brit bikes upgraded their machines" from RIGID to PLUNGER", so that too all Civilian models prefered " Dual Seat".(as in my C11 Bike)
                                ps:C11>>>>>>>> IS NOTHING Civilian 11
pps: Friends !! .. like Sudharma sir, all should come out to the forum..............to discuss "ifs & buts",
