    Hi Balaji,
    Living.............You mean my Bread & Butter ???
Am Living to RIDE !!!......When I started collecting & restoring bikes, I skipped my Butter( hope U understood)
Iam a Tool Room Engineer & have a "Four Wheeler Servicing unit"( a tiny sector unit) and that is my real BREAD winner !!!
Now & then I even take up my friends classic bikes for restoration, but in limited numbers ( for guys who really understand me)
    That way I LIVE.....

It will be apt if post some pics of my BSA BB31 restoration project pics to answer your ques, but now I have to search that CD ( a Lazy book keeper)
Parts procurement plays vital role in this projects, have to try & get parts inside India itself, certain hard to get parts are to be sourced outside India ( be careful to get the reliable source .....there are crooks through out the globe in this particular vintage parts deal)
Certain parts has to be made ( replicating to the best !!)
Just to cite an example I am posting my James ML pics, where you can see the Brake & Clutch Levers ,were hand forged in Brass & polished smooth, on the other hand Transfers ( water stickers) & Rear Tail light was imported
& also the rear number plate was fabricated to original shape and size after getting a original Num plate from a friend .

Hats off to you sir! I totally get it when you say you skipped your butter . You have totally inspired me for my RX project and got me dreaming of getting a 70s bullet and working on that at a later stage and who knows maybe one day I will manage to restore and run a true brit thumper or a RD 350 to pritine condition. Now I know where too look if I am loosing my focus and need inspiration.

You can call it as ONE & HALF Jawa tail lights coz, one was a full assy & the other was the outer Acrylic lens ONLY.
