      • O my my now that is one amazing collection - hats off to your efforts, just wondering the dedication, love, patience that went into restoring so many rare beauties.

I don't know how I missed your thread all these days/years but I am happy that I am here now.

I must say that today I have seen some bikes that I had never seen or heard of before. I am sure each on of them is special to you in its own particular way.

Boy - that Fury 175 is ooooooooo - never seen one in such a condition. I had ridden it a couple of times long long time ago and its power was PHEW! - now I am jealous of you

My guess is, you have a lot of contacts and details from where you can source parts and maybe since you have your own garage and terrific experience who knows, you might also be making some of the parts yourself there.

Once again - HATS OFF to you sir. BTW I have a 1994 KB100 and a 1969 Jawa.

                    • OMG.... Muthu anna, Hats-off (Helmets-off?) to you, i am KICKING myself for missing your thread for all these years. its still like a dream to me, seeing your collection of the rarest of bikes and scooters. i am a die-hard lover of the vintage motorbikes, and i know how difficult it is even to find a vintage bike, and you..... you are finding them and restoring them too. i cant wait to meet you in person & see the beauties.especially i'm completely speechless when i saw the restoration pics of the JAMES-ML & BSA's. WOW, the quality of restoration immaculate. even the decals, stickers, livers absolutely world class restoration job you are doing. i think you fabricate the rare/ un-available parts .

BTW i have a 1987 RD, which i am using very sparingly due to non availability of some spares, which i am planning to restore fully to the original specs. i'll inform u when i start the resto, your valuable advise is highly appreciated

All Bullets manufactured after 1955 by " ENFEILD INDIA Ltd" Madras are
Made in India BULLS, but with many vital parts imported from England..
This 1959 Bullet was introduced with "SR 1 Magneto Ignition" & later models with "Delco",just from 1960's itself.
Even " SR magneto ignition" was provided for the customers ( ON REQUEST) on extra cost till mid '62.
These bikes had AMAL 276- 7/8 mono-bloc Carb.
Even I have one for the above Bike, Have to fit it after completing 1000 kms ( Run -in period)

                            Hello Raja,
                            Think those words like:
                            WATER DECALS & TRANSFERS
                            has confused you !!
NO, none of the Royal En field Bullets are Liquid cooled ( Water cooled)...till now 2010 all of them are Air Cooled machines.
water decals , are the stuff you see on the fuel tank...
                            ....Its simply called water stickers.
The printed stuff on the paper, gets out of that paper, once immersed in water, the image is transferred to the painted part of the bike.
PS: If ,still in doubt, go back few pages in this same thread & see the decals of JAMES ML....since its bit big in size you may understand easily
PPS : if you are interested in knowing AIR COOLED & WATER COOLED MACHINES,..even @ xbhp, there are separate threads..just check out

Dear Powertwin you must really like biking to have such a beautiful collection of lovingly restored Vehicles.I had a similar small collection of Rajdoot, Fantabulus,Vespa,Honda CX 125 Twin,Original 1985 Suzuki 100cc,1986 Yamaha RX100, and 1987 KB 100. Of all these except for the KB 100 have been disposed off due to lack of spares and due to objection of occupying space. The KB is still with me in good shape .Hope you will have great luck in finding and restoring more Two wheelers.
Here is the pic of my KB100.
