I know it is too early to discuss with regards to weather during our Point Calimere ride. Is there anyone been to the southern during this season?
Just to get mentally and physically prepared for the ride. Thanks.

I was updated that it is drizzling & nothing much. But having said that, Rain Gear is a must regardless of any tour.

Thank you for the update and suggestion. I do have a rain coat, however, need to buy water proof pants. Any suggestions? In terms of make, availability and price?

          Things I already have:

          Rain coat
          Spare cables
          Few wheel spanners
          Tyre tube

          Things need to buy:

          Water proof pant
          Spare fuse
          spark plug
          Riding Jacket*
          Knee guard*
          Helmet^
          Bungee cords

          * will need to wait and watch for Bhavishya to confirm.
^ currently possessing Volga standard type full face helmet. Planning to upgrade to good quality helmet. It all depends on what is left in my pocket in due course of time.

Guys let me know if there is anything important that I'm missing from the above preparatory list.

            Sriram,

I am not sure if you would be needing a pair of ear buds which cancel out the swooshing air noise.

But i would need them too dont have them with me.

Anybody here uses ear buds that kinda muffles the sound outside while riding?

I have not tried using ear plugs to cancel the air noise in all my earlier trips. I thought probably used to it.

              I don't mind giving it a try.

Call me an old Fuddy Duddy but I'm not sure that its a good idea for highway rides - on the track it makes sense because you don't have to worry about anyone honking behind you - but on the open road I'd like to have all my senses on alert.

                But that's just me....

@ Ananth - I'm not sure how I'll be joining in since I currently don't have a ride. The Ninja may not be back from the shop soon and I'm not used to the Bull yet. I think maybe it's written in the stars that I have to drive to Point Calimere on 4 wheels.

                  Sunny,

it doesnt cancel out the entire noise. But just that whistling and other distant motor noises. I do agree to vehicles honking behind you would be a bit of bother. But am more used to using RVMS for ppl behind me and I dont heed to unnecessary honking. May will give it a try this time and see how it works out.

Can anyone help in finding a pair of ear buds? that doesnt do any damage to your ear and doesnt cause any kind of pain.?

Do you call it as ear buds? I thought those are ear plugs. I would go to medical shop to find out if it is available.

I dont think that is a mandatory thing. A proper helmet would do the much needed noise cancellations.

Yes, Thats why i hardly use ear phones. I use it when i feel so boring to ride on the Golden Quadrilateral.

Firstly.. take rest, If you are fine by 29th then ride / Drive.

Secondly, When you feel OK try riding the C500. If you feel uncomfortable, then swap onto your Scorpio. It would be useful in many ways for us

                            • @zerotosixty : The sony In ear does a better job often, but I skip them while riding. As sunny said, I'd like to be on full alert while riding. Besides, some Cagers dont bother to honk or let you know that they are there. You never know when these ppl can pop into and outta your blind spot.

Yet another reason is that the Wind noise keeps me awake
