I have done some short trips(150-250kms) around chennai. Have never done any trips in a group. Have done two long trips. On both the occasions I had to attend a marriage and was riding alone.
a) Chennai-Salem-Chennimalai and back to chennai( 930kms in two days)
b) Chennai-Nagercoil (3 days rest) Nagercoil-Chennai around 1400kms

Will attend this weekend GTG.

Accommodation Booked!

Guys, I just got a update from WildLife warden, Point Calimere that there is some bulk accommodation been booked by Government Officials from Tanjore district. So unfortunately i had to confirm the bookings right away.

For now, I have only taken the count of CONFIRMED People alone. Having said that, I'm pushing for extra accommodation for others. I cannot guarantee, But still I'm trying my best to have everyone accommodated for the trip.

Please see to that people riding in gets the following stuff without fail :

2. Accelerator Cables
3. Spare Tube (17")

I have a spare tube for 18" tube, rear & front. Cables for the Karizma. People on the GS150R could collectively buy the spares.

I would also be bringing in a Foot Pump & Puncture Repair Kit (Tube + Tubeless).

THIS IS A MANDATORY MEET. I WOULD WANT EVERY ONE TO ATTEND THIS MEET. Sriram & Steve would organize the Pre-Ride this weekend & Same would be notified in the Chennai xBhp Thread.

to reiterate what ananth said - guys get your spares ready. the zma'ZMR's will not have issues as kiran/Ananth and I have the spares required. the GS/R15/Bull/fz/uni/other bikes please get your spares.

we will be riding through small villages and towns and no major city except pondi and spares can be hard to find.

Dinesh and myself had discussed about the group riding, signaling and basically what to expect during long rides. We had also briefed about the importance of carry spares to those who attended G2G on Sunday.

Ananth has clearly mentioned the basic spares should be taken. However, would also insist on carry fuses for their respective ride. I realized the importance when going through one of the travelogues.

If you have any suggestions or questions, feel free to discuss, might help all of us.

1. i have tubeless tyre in rear - (puncture kit carried by ananth)
2. Tube tyre in front - (spare tube carried by anath + pump)
3. I have accelerator cable ( shared by me and raghav)
4. I will buy Clutch cable ( can be shared by me and raghav )
5. i will also carry a scooter inner cable ( a long one + one nut. if needed can be used by others too)

Im done. bike service yet to be done.

on the gears front :

1. gloves i have
2. Jacket getting from BD
3. Knee guard getting in gp road this week
4. Balaclava getting it today/tomorrow
5. i have helmet.

Im done and ready for the ride.

Wish this came a little earlier. Anyway, Would keep you posted on the Accommodation.

I dont see Bhavishya shipping the jackets before 20th. Shipping would be a week from then. Im not sure if you are blindly trusting the dates here. If it doesn't land in Chennai on 28th, You might have to source a riding jacket from elsewhere.

Call him & ask him to ship you the reserve jacket that he showed when he was in chennai. You could anyway use it for one trip / ship it back once you get the new one in hand. This is just to see to that, at the last moment, you dont drop off with grounds that you dont have a jacket to ride with.

Well, if possible accomodate Ananth, otherwise, there's always next time no complaints either ways
