@Kushanth - Do I need to tell you about this. You bring that CBZ also, wanna check it. I'm expecting something better than my RTR on the R15. So which means, I've clocked 130 on the gun on the RTR already and now need something more on the R15.
We've done a best of 127 on the R15.
I'm missing my Fiero man. Bloody thing would've decimated the 140kmph barrier like nothing. The thrills, the kicks...miss it all. Never too late, it will hit the road again. With more aggression packed!
Ok now, let me stick to my puny sub 20bhp mobikes.

@joel I`ll try to pull the Demon (so called).. Nothing like having a bike which does true 140's.. it can eat 220s, r15s and comets for breakfast lunch and dinner..
do you recall the times when our bikes were under performing for the craziest reasons like damaged stem seals, low compression, valve slap etc.. (esp when bunny was here in bangalore) I wonder how many times i`ve kicked my bike for not performing
..

Yeah, I guess over the last few months and about a year now, I'm going slower on top-speeds. Last year I was clocking 137-139 on all sessions with a standard fiero 4-speed GB. Things changed when I got the extra gear and a better clutch and got to 144.4kmph.Originally posted by kushanth View Post@joel I`ll try to pull the Demon (so called).. Now what the hell is this 130kmph, boring man.
Was targetting 100mph before this year end....need to revive my Fiero plans soon.
Our bikes even in the worst shape would nudge past 135kmph, which the best bikes today wont clock. The worst the Karizma did was 132kmph. My Fiero was purely hand made, with nothing relevant to the stock engine. It was a hand crafted engine, right-up to everything inside. All this with a bone stock camshaft till date is another big feat.
A proper cam will change everything.
I remember the days when the bike would perform on its edge. Then a small change to the tuned length of the exhaust itself would make differences of around 2-3kmph.
Jetting, plug rating, exhaust dimensions, compression, clutch slippage, ignition etc etc ...so many variables to play with.
Its almost a year now since I've worked on such limits.
These stock engines are so much pampering and forgiving.
But the actual fun is in riding such pocket rockets.

And the last megaphonic exhaust was a 4hrs build by me before I entered your bike in the Hill Climb race the next morning.Originally posted by kushanth View Post@Joel.. those days were really awesome... we being friends had a challenge over eachother.. Not 5, that was 4. 2 exhaust set-ups and 3 other canisters with varying tuned lengths.
Try getting your bike. The last tribute we can give it atleast!
