131kmph on that stretch is very good. However I could have got another 2-3kmph more if the winds were playing good. A few things need to be sorted before getting the best top-speed.
The bike runs too lean and ruins the expected performance. Damn, its FI and cant do much. If only this bike ran a carb, things would have been different now.

^ We have checked the P220 many times man. Does about 128-129.

They quote all speedo reads man. Yamaha never offically claimed that it will do 140kmph true, but yeah u can get there on the speedo by pinning it over 2 miles.

However more than the top-speed, what I wanna mention is the improvement in acceleration. I would shift to 6th gear at a point much earlier than earlier.
I remember the last time I did a topspeed run on a stock R15, it would take a good distance to peak 5th gear alone. Now its a lot quicker.

^No vids. Might need to check if there were any pics clicked. I have no idea. I was only riding the bikes.
Last time we checked kushanth's bike, it was doing 135/137/138 in the same stretch.

Thats the thing. Nothing has been changed. All bone stock internals man.

If only the ECU can be dialed-in for good, things will get much faster.
Only if this was a carb bike, I have an assortment of jets to pick from. Now sadly need to depend on electronics. Will need to work around this now.

hmm how much fast can a bike be made suppose P150 by making the above changes keeping in mind it doesnt screw up the engine (life...)

The ECU is 'the' issue (woah 'issue' rhymes with 'ECU' too ) with the R15!
Sadly nobody in India has been able to mess it well... ( or if 'he' has then has kept it very low)
While every one talks about an update available in Indonesia, there is no mention of it, from a website that i figured while i was researching for one (a long while back) I came to know about one group working on it and successfully raising the RPM restriction to 12 or 12.5k ... the group was called vRacers or something!

While people are talking about the updated ECU hitting the stands shortly, I guess that will also only solve the problem only partially.... it would be again a non re-map-able ECU

^well my friend, the ECU is a restriction as of now(fuelling). However, all that will be sorted soon.
The problem with the R15 is that it cant handle any higher revs than 11,000rpm without killing the valve springs. Valve float is a big disaster to any engine.
No wonder Yamaha has cleverly given a safe 10.5k cut-off like a brick wall.
The malaysian guys have been working on ECUs for the T135. Its not a swap for us.
Anyways, u will need an ECU upgrade only when u really need it. Not on a bone stock engine.
