@Akhil: bro don't worry about the appearence. Your lid maynot be a crowd puller but can protect you; but like jay bro said repainting may affect the helmet materials rigidity. So consider saving up to buy a new helmet.

it would have been great if there could be a longer ride early next month when there is some cash left in our wallets.a 400-500 km trip would have been ideal (to +fro). guys i was a little embarrased when i saw your helmets . my helmet looks horrific. today i painstakingly scracthed away all the rotten stickers . tomorrow i may submit it for a complete paint job(white). after that i have to find a place where good graphics work can be done.are you guys aware of any such place where some awesome graphics work can be done?all this may take atleast 1k . but i am hell bent on making my helmet look good.guys i am a poor man . right now i am not in a position to buy a 5k helmet. atleast i can make my helmet look like a 5 k one. i also bought two new visors-plain and dark.

If u r planning to shell out 1k I suggest u go for a new. You would get a decent helmet for that rate.

^^ I second tintu on that... For less than 1k you can get decent helments from Vega and other brands... MY first helment was a Vega Formula HP which cost me 800 (which was a huge sum for me at that time). Still good, bro using it... so use your money wisely... and good luck...

BTW... my health is lil poor... just wanted to give you guys a heads up that if I'm not too well, i might not be there for the ride...

Right decision bro!!! just go Amba stores, Thakaraparambu, you will get a gud Helmet for your budget. Otherwise Kinetic mahindra showroom at Auyrveda college (near dhanya remya) you will get vega Helmet for Rs800/-.

It so sad to hear that Lijo is not coming for the trip . Anyway Get well soon dear. Varun is coming??? Please post who are the participants in tmr's trip. and some senior must give the Itinerary. We are too late for planning .Guys wake up.

Its not the shortest, but a faster route than the shortest I've put KD puram as the starting point as more are from that part of the city... and the route is chosen so as to avoid city as much as possible. Another option in the route will be to go via Aruvikkara dam, vellanad to reach Kuttichal/Kattakada. But the roads are not that good. So how about starting at 9 AM from KD puram???

Its not the shortest, but a faster route than the shortest I've put KD puram as the starting point as more are from that part of the city... and the route is chosen so as to avoid city as much as possible. Another option in the route will be to go via Aruvikkara dam, vellanad to reach Kuttichal/Kattakada. But the roads are not that good. So how about starting at 9 AM from KD puram???

Did you see tintus helmet during our sat G2G... that was a Vega Formula HP. its decent enough quality and looks ...

Just go to Amba and ask them to show you helmets within your range...

Lijo the aruvikkara route is not preferrably good since there is literally no road there now
The other route which is fast, tad longer and used is the deviation from NH47 before marthandam. Then there is the route used by varun via kattakada. Another friend of mine suggested a route through vellarada, but I couldn't get more details on it

@ Tintu: Sorry I could join only by 9 since I have to borrow a bike from my friend for the ride.
