Yes brother. If you are talking about that guy who works on RD,RX and all. He is reliable but some says the rate there is high.Originally posted by chikkurajavu View PostBrothers,

If you tune for power you will lose the mileage side. If you can sacrifice that

By tuning do you mean adjusting the Air-Fuel ratio of your carb?150 for tht?Originally posted by chikkurajavu View PostBrothers,

Adjusting the carb to a leaner(mileage) or richer(Power) mix will have decent effects...nothing over the top.for best results get a medium mix, usually the stock mix.Last edited by RanjithMN; 03-18-2011, 12:30 AM.Smoke rubber, not tobacco.

If you are talking about the box on the exhaust, that comes under the engine crankcase, then thats just the "exhaustec" box. I'm not sure there is a difference between the current P-220/200 and Fi mufflers. A cat-con will be a prominent attatchment and will have all the exhaust routed throught it, unlike the exhaustec box.
Anyway your manual should be a better source of info.. I haven't seen a P-220 DtsFi up close yet.
I'm unsure that Mr. Joseph tuned your carb.. He usualy refuses to tune the CV carb found on Pulsars. His opinion (and mine) is that the stock factory tuning is the best.Originally posted by chikkurajavu View PostBrothers,

The RD Mesthri at Jagathy will also not be able to tune your CV carb. As far as i know you need a gas analyser, like the one used at PUC centers to tune this carb.
The RD man is good at what he is famous for : RDs. And his assistant is, . . . well . . . . you know, an assistant.
I think you will have the best luck at the Probiking place. And again it is best to have stock tuning. The only tuning you can do on this carb. is on the Volume Control screw, and this affects only the pilot and progression circuit. So i doubt you will feel any difference in power from this.
Anyway, i too am struggling with my carb. tuning because most Bajaj SCs do not have a gas analyser. And probiking here told me to book 1 week in advance! If you find a solution let me know.
