I know that we have done it before, but it has been done just once and 4 years ago... why not Bala Qila! Good ride, nice location, lovely fort ruins and you guys can brush up on your history as well.

Just googled it. It's bit far. I mean, looking at the interest level generated, we will be quite a large group (atleast 15). Riding to that place with such a big group will eat considerable time of ours in commuting. Also, since heat these days is too much to handle, it will be quite tough on the group. I would personally like to visit these places with small group, though. But I do thank you for showing & suggesting this place. I will register it for personal tour

It was fine not so good, We did that twisties in 10mins, :P, so the fun ended quite a short time

^^ Guru, you seem to have forgotten but we, (7 I guess) went there and even rode in the lake bed!! Aseem was present too. It's been quite some time back. Also, last time, when a large group went to Sohna, I have gone till Aseem's place.

IMO Damdamma seems to be good destination, specially knowing that there would be first time group riders as well. So getting used to group riding this sunday we can brief them about the "group riding rule" and once they do it all well, we can choose other destinations as well, as recommended by Ken Da. Also Dipankar Da let us know the other route which you were talking about through Faridabad. It would be good to take two different routes, it would help us all. In this heat I would prefer to be back to Dhaba by around 9am, hence leaving early is better.

and for those who dont know what is dumdama lake is.

it a lake which is situated in the foothills of Aravallis,and also called sona lake.

Ride to Khatauli would be perfect in that sense as it'll give a decently long stretch for group riding and isn't too far either. Cheetal Grand serves good food too and we can try and workout a good deal for buffet breakfast with them. Flora around the restaurant will give good opportunity for macro photography to our snappers.

Hey Vikas! welcome aboard! Well, I would avoid that stretch simply because of the road condition & traffic. Since, we would be quite a big group, riding there would eat up a lot of our time.

Thanks for the welcome! Since the ride has been planned for Sunday, there's going to be lesser traffic on roads. And anyway, do you expect the people on road at 5-6am? I have recently been on this road. As mentioned by me previously, the road conditions aren't bad. Infact Meerut Bypass is one hell of a road to rip our machineries.

I know. Almost everybody from Delhi/NCR will have fond memories of Cheetal Grand as most of us on our familiy trips used to halt there. Lets go the memory lane, 15-18yrs back.
