                • Good to see the Delhi riders gearing up for action. And making plans in a coordinated manner. Great.

I have some inputs to make here along the lines of what Shivanshu has already suggested.

                  1. As a rough estimate some 40-odd riders are game for taking part in this ride and such a large group becomes pretty unwieldy to keep together. I suggest you divide this into smaller sub-groups of no more than 8 riders, each with its own lead and sweep riders. You can form these sub-groups of riders from a cluster of localities and ride to the meet-up point from there.

                  2. Also, avoid getting together anywhere on the road side even if it happens to be the wide Karnal bypass. Ride in these smaller sub-groups and meet up at a pre-determined dhaba a few miles beyond the Singhu border (One lead group comprising of riders who know such a place can get there before the others and stop the rest of the groups). Order a round of tea there, discuss the ride ahead and then hit the road again.

                  3. Ideally you all should ride on to Murthal in smaller sub-groups after staggering your departure timings from the tea stop by 5 minutes between each group. But if you do insist on seeking the thrill of riding as a large group, do so in a single file while maintaining a safe distance between each rider. And ride slow when 40 of you are doing it together.

                  4. But regardless of everything, avoid riding as 20-30 riders within Delhi. This city has seen too much of motorcycle hooliganism off late and a large group with geared-up riders will surely be viewed with suspicion, especially by the law enforcers.

                  5. While returning, again formate into the smaller sub-groups and ride home.

Basic and inviolate rules of a group ride:

                  1) DO NOT OVERTAKE YOUR OWN GROUP MEMBERS. MAINTAIN YOUR SLOT.

                  2) NO STUNTS OR SILLY ANTICS ON THE ROAD.

                  3) ALL RIDERS NEED TO WEAR FULL-LENGTH/SLEEVED CLOTHES, HELMETS, GLOVES AND SHOES AT THE MINIMUM.

                  4) CARRY THE FOUR ESSENTIAL DOCUMENTS WITH YOU - LICENSE, R.C., INSURANCE & PUC

NB: VIOLATION OF ANY OF THE ABOVE EARNS YOU AN ON-THE-SPOT RETURN TICKET

                  5) COME FOR THE RIDE WITH ENOUGH FUEL AT LEAST FOR ONE SIDE. DON'T EXPECT OTHER GROUP MEMBERS TO WAIT FOR YOU WHILE YOU FULL 'ER UP.

                        Dipankar!!!
60 seconds seems too early. If the leading group gets stuck somewhere like Jam, diversion etc.......eventually all the bikers will again be together.

Difference should somewhere from 4-5 minutes.
                        Well just a suggestion.

                        Keep riding!!!
