BTW ... my query still stands ... do we necessarily need to get the spare parts as a part of long rides ..??

Carrying basic spare parts are always recommended for long rides, it is better than pushing your bike for miles in search of a mechanic/spare parts shop/ or make your friends search for them, which again results in time loss/ change in plans. We cannot predict anything "rakh lo bhai, pata nhi kab kaam aa jaye". Ride safe

EDIT: +100 to Sid's quote below. Availability of parts is a major issue.

I feel lever and bulb are necessary because they are the first casaulties in case of any bad event and hamper the bike's movement badly.... so it will be better to have them in spare... plus our bike spares are not readily available even in Metro cities...

I guess that would be good enough to hold on to a back pack. Is that with 4/6 hooks ?
Could you please get that for me to the coming G2G. Would try that out there. Thanks.

                          • Hello fellow xbhp'ians from Pune. Its a great thing to see that Pune has such a strong group of riders. Also the way all of them promote safe riding and safety is just awesome. Nothing like it. I am a relatively new member to xbhp. I did ride before but was never so keen and honestly I didn't know there existed such passionate riders in Pune. Anyway to the present. I have previously owned pulsar 150 and Yamaha FZ16. My new interest in biking comes from owning a new Royal Enfield Classic 500 Desert Storm. Its one thing that made me completely fall in love with riding a bike. I am interested and keen on joining the Xbhp Pune community. Since I am new I would appreciate if anyone brought me up to speed about the happenings and schedule of the Xbhp members of Pune i.e. Where they meet? when do they meet? when do they ride out?
Also I'm new to the G2G concept. What is it exactly? Is it just a periodical meet of all the members or does it have some other agenda?
Very True- "Motorcycling is not, of itself, inherently dangerous. It is, however, extremely unforgiving of inattention, ignorance, incompetence, or stupidity."

I like- "Bikes are not supposed to be a rational decision. If you can park it and walk away without looking back to admire it, you got the wrong one."

G2G is Get 2 Gather... it takes place every Wednesday at location and time posted in this thread from time to time... There is no such agenda... all of us just meet and chat about general topics which consist of bikes as usual... at times AGENDA's are there but they are as sporadic as Good Batting by Indian Batsman...
