I am Hari from kerala ...came to pune just few months to start by corporate life and will be here for more than 2 years

eventhough i got my ride 1 month ago , i was waiting to get my NOC before getting in touch with you all..

Your noc is valid only for 90 days and you have to keep your fresh PUC copy and give it to pune RTO while paying the taxes, you can use your bike with same number after paying the taxes but always remember you have to carry your tax paid receipts.

also please share the procedures to get tax paid without middle agents??

when i went to rto, pune near sangam bridge, i was crowded by a group of agents mostly because my registration no is KL :P , dont know how i escaped, i also met an agent for just in case. while leaving rto at next junction traffic police caught me and asked for 600rs which without receipt made to 200rs :P

Hi... so welcome to Pune and u ve already met the thullas here ... I also had a bike with Delhi registration here in Pune and I drove it around for around 3 yrs. But that was sme yrs ago. Now I guess these people have become more vigilant for this out of station registered vehicles.
In my organization, we had a drive conducted by RTO so the officials came over to our office location and we just had to give them the relevant doc n fees.
You could explore this option as it saves all unnecessary agents. Moreover, I wd def advice you to get it done now, as its an unnecessary fatigue to mind to keep an eye on these mamas.... ...

AFAIK, you can get 11 months NOC from the registering RTO. But that needs the bike to be present in the RTO. There are many more jugaads possible if needed.

sry bro for missing your first offer .. my office timing is currently from 2pm to 11.10 pm .. so weekdays its not possible... will catch up sure on weekends.. thanks again!!

thanks rider !! but there arent many new joineies with me for mass registration.. just me only :P .. anyway I will pay up tax as soon as possible.. I don't want to get caught up between any ride.


And guys can you guys give details on accesories shop in pune.. other than probiking and dsg shop .. and also good tyre shops.. have to change rear tyre also ..

I was going through a little bit of posts in this thread... and found that you guys are riding almost every week (eventhough i dont know any of the places in pune except lonavala went for a solo ride as soon as i got my hands on bike ) .. I wonder whether there is any ride this sat or sun to any nearby places.?? just to know the pune xbhpians style

Honda service

need some help here....i bought CBR last week from BU Bhandari Honda in camp. can any one please suggest me the best service centre in Pune....i visited BU bhandari (at estate road, closest to me) and asked if i could be present while they service my bike (i heard many of Honda centres allow it, only for CBR) and they refused it...seen few complaints on consumercomplaint.com as well of over charging (things like labour charges in first free service, battery charging charges, this was for viman nagar)...

which service centre should i approach, if i am looking for well trained mechanic (who is not trying to learn on my bike ), honest and friendly staff with flexible mindset to do the things, i tell them to do (like no pressure wash of bike, for that i need to be present with my bike)

Hi ... congratulations mate for the ride ... for the service, I got my CBR frm Pashankar and got its first service done at their Service Center at SB Road. Though it was the first service but they also didnt allow me to be aside my bike while it was been done.
The overall service seemed okay as I also did not have major complaints. But there were a few things here and their coz of which I had to revisit them again and again for a fault that actually cropped up post service.
As most of them, they were adamant to make me believe that it happens as its a new bike... but I got it checked later and its doing fine since then.

Dont know if there are any phenomenally satisfying places to get ur bike serviced eyes closed. But still, I would stick with the authorized service centers.... just for the sake of kickin their ass if some thing is messed up ...

How ?? I thought Sinnar was equidistant from both the cities.

AFAIK Mumbai - Sinnar = 190km and Pune - Sinnar = 180km.

We will meet somewhere on Ghoti - Sinnar road towards Ghoti so it will balance out the 10km deficit

EDIT: No Anant, infact that's a much better idea, took that route while on my Trimbak visit. We can surely meet up at the Upper Vaitarna backwaters, if you guys are ready !

Guys, this weekend we are riding down to kashid/murud via tamhini ghat. Is anyone on that road lately? How is it?
If it's not a big deal please give me heads up about cheap accommodation in Kashid(we are 6).
