route for woods....

start from chandnichowk towards bhugaon / pirangut.
first you cross the BHAVDHAN CHAUPATI restauraunt (followed by lots of restauraunts on right side- approx 700 meters from C.C
then you will cross the toll naka. approx 100 meters from BHAVDHAN CHAUPATI
after the toll naka, ride further for about 1.2 kms, you will cross AMBROSIA Restauraunt, ride further for 500 meters and you will get a couple of restaurants on left side. woods is the third or the fourth restaurant in the line (you will also have a big board for the restaurant

if the road starts climbing and if you notice a BHARAT PETROLEUM petrol pump, you have over shot the place, turn back and when the slope ends, stop and look at the right side, you will be able to find the restaurant...

Ride on 4th Dec.

A really good G2G after a long time. Good company ,good food,bikeng related discussion and OYM contest.
@ Revvrend : thanx for appreciating the efforts I had put in.
As there were no contestants for R15 category,we conducted it only for 220 category and Anant is the winner and NO.. Prize was not cadbury bu something more sencible than that. Next would be R15 and RTR. Am sure anant would like to comment on OYM contest and give suggestions so as to improve it further.

As decided yesterday there will be ride to mapro garden pachgani on 4th dec sunday. We think the place will be crowded so suggestions are welcome till wednesday. As this ride is for new member induction lavasa wont make a good venue fo ride

Sorry that I could not remain present for yesterday's G2G. Had just returned from long drive.

I will not be able to attend the 4th December ride also as an official Ninja ride is planned on that day by Bajaj.

pune - anshi - goa - pune

hi everyone... had been missin the action here on the forum for a weeks. time now. had gone to the anshi drive with siddharthzmr, abhijit n others and left for goa frome there only. was a week long vacation at goa and returned back yest evenin. it was a fundrive to anshi as we went from free ways to offroads and to almost no roads terrain.. .. my bike ceebeerr, did great to weather all thrown at it... think its a wonderful sports tourer currently in our country... comfortable and quick.
will try to catch up with the next g2gs.

need help regarding going for an oil change...

one thing coming up to me again n again ... though I had gone for my first free service with oil changes andminor tweaks here and there ... but should I be goin for an engine oil change as I had done around 1200kms with total kms pass 3000 kms? also.. which FS should I go for to do the same?
the question cropped up as I read in some of the threads goin here in xBhp elsewhere where people have gone for an oil change post 2500 kms .. ?
not sure about this... next dated service schedule is at 6000+kms
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I wanted to be there for this G2G but was unfortunate. Well I'm not available for 4th Dec ride as well.
I'll be going for solo konkan ride to attain family g2g on Thursday and planning to return back by Sunday night.
My route would be - Pune --> Mahabaleswar --> Poladpur --> (NH17) --> Ratnagiri --> Pawas --> Adiware --> Bhalawali (My Grandpa's home) --> Ratnagiri --> GanapatiPule.

Return route would be again via mahabaleshwar. Hope this would be the best and memorable solo ride.>>

If you have obsessive compulsive disorder, you can go for oil change now

Sticking to manufacturer's recommended oil change schedule actually makes sense. Lots of people change oil even at 200 - 300 km but it really is not necessary.

Cool... Road after Pratapgadh till Poladpur was in bad condition when I last rode (in May). May have got worse after monsoon.

While coming back, try the Ganpatipule- Amba Ghat- Kokrud- Karad-Pune route.

I know Pratapgad Poladpur route is worst!! but it is way better than varadha ghat.
Bhor - Varandha distance is sometimes annoying...
