Location of a dhaba can be anything outskirts near chandni chowk, baner or even the other side of town (KP or Airport rd)

      A mega Pune G2G i guess.

In chandni chowk area there are loads of dhaba's that can have the capacity to accomodate 10+ members.
The other side of town is unfamiliar to me, but yes our fellow members residing there can surely pitch in good hangouts. And the ones in chandni chowk are dirt cheap with ample of space for keeping the gear...
If this Mega G2G happens please and i mean PLEASE schedule it post 9th December... Please dont want to miss on these kind of G2G's

          Nice pics Meghnad.

Since I am a fazer rider too, I also want to share a few experiences from my side and add a few questions.

          1) Disadvantage: folding footrests (stock)
Whenever I lean and the footrest scrapes the tarmac, the folding movement of the footrest pushes the foot up, and at high speeds this is really bad. (my opinion)
Any solutions and expert opinion for this issue (other than replacing the footrests )??

          2) Shifting weight to a side and cornering is not that comfortable on this bike, I do it without shifting weight but yes, I do point out the knee.
Is it because the bike is a so called 'tourer'?? Any advice?

          Cornering junkies, please advice. Thanks.

PS: I am not a cornering expert! :P

Sumit, well i don't agree to this. To me, shifting weight to a side on fazer is extreamly comfortable (as compared to Pulsers) and I just can not imagine a corner without weight shift. If you dont shift the weight, you have to lean your bike more to adjust centre of gravity. however, with weight shift, centre of gravity is a varible parameter (under rider's full control) along with speed & rpm (controlled by throttle action). If you shift your weight & looking 4-5 seconds ahead at given entry speed; you can easily define the path and lean angle well in advance.

Becuase of Fazer's mass centralization & low profile, i feel it extreamly comfortable and confident at the corners. Nevertheless, I agree that it is not a racetrack beauty so don't expect more from her.

well this is my pure personal opinion based on my fazer experience so far, and yes! even m not a cornering expert, so please don't mind.

(Black bold text) Yes, I do...
(Red bold text) Physics...!! was always bad in physics but good in practicals. Will try shifting weight and check the difference.

                Thanks Meghnad for the explanation.

Rohit, some more light please...why the footrests should not scrape while cornering??? Thanks.

What i inferred is that when you lean in a corner and lower your upper body as well, the overall center of gravity lowers and for simplicity's sake.. lower COG = better handling.

Rohit, some more light please...why the footrests should not scrape while cornering??? Thanks.
Well its generally unsafe to do so right? Your knee should be scraping before your footpeg, as told to me by a pune xBhp guy..

In fact, if you observe the motoGP riders closely, you'll see them using their knees as a measure of how much lean angle they have left. "One cheek of the seat should be enough" - Twist of the wrist II or whatever the title is..

Go back a few pages.. Ritwick posted a link to a torrent file for this really good 1.5 hour long vid - twist of the wrist II - which should clear pretty much every doubt you have.

EDIT: I'm moving into a new flat in KP which doesn't have covered parking.. That was in fact one of my criteria ( ) but the rest of the deal was too good..

So now I need a cover for the bike (which is a 220 for those of you who don't know) which has to be rain-proof of course.. btw - rain proof doesn't mean that the cover would immune to the eroding and dirtying properties of rain. It means that the cover will keep the bike dry...

                            • Saturday G2G

Hi , we will be meeting this Saturday.
i am proposing following plan . Any changes/suggestions/complaints, please convey them before Thursday 24th Nov. 1400 hrs.
                              so the plan is--

"Introduction , OYM Contest, Dinner G2G"

                              Day/Date : Saturday/26 November 2011
                              Time : 7.30pm

Venue : As of now "Woods" Dhaba near chandni chowk. it is a good dhaba 2 Kms towards Bhugaon. it has lot of parking space and for gear also , seating space for our purpose and is affordable. Still i think it may be way too far for some of our members so i am requesting your comments about the venue. All new members are requested to attend this G2G. induction ride will be planned at this G2G.
