well actually the thing is i am currently coming till july-aug and i am hoping that it will get converted to permanent.... but in case it doesnt i might have to go back to hyderabad.... so thats why i was asking.... if it would have been permanenetly from the beginnning itself i would have definitely gotten a maharashtra number....

just take the noc for now.. that would be sufficient.. i brought my rtr from kerala 3 months before.. you can ride with 6 months without paying tax... by that time may be your place will be confirmed..
tips to survive from cop:
1) try to avoid pune station as possible... its sure atleast 1 policeman willl catch you there..
2) stick to what you say- first time when one guy,within 1 week, caught me even though i was having noc i had to give 200/- because i didnt know the rule... 2 times after that when they catch me.. i said there is rule that we can ride without paying tax for 6 months(simply said pune rto officials said like this to me) .. even though they didnt agree first i sticked to that and started arguing...they let me go.

I already got my number.

I have got clearance from RTO. Its just that the series is changing and they will allot the VVIP & VIP numbers first. So my number will come by Monday or Tuesday.
So i get to ride only 40 kms for 4 days !

Also, does anyone know the source of this 60 kms info? It would be handy in case the cops stop me (which i am certain of with my historical data)

Around 40 kms. Sai service guy says that i would get a number today or tomorrow morning for sure.
Also the horn is not working properly. Initially i thought it was because the bike was washed, but its still the same after a day. I will go to service station today or tomorrow. If u can join, it would be great

Ok I spoke to that guy..he told to come n meet him at the JM road showroom. So, lets meet up there or near by to that place.

Come to Goa this weekend. The service center there has already serviced one KTM, so they got some experience in servicing the bike.
By the time we will we back, you would have added more than 1,000km's to the odo. That will silent these people doubting your riding capabilities.

Intro

Hi all,
relatively very new to XBHP,
I ride pulsar 180, blue, which is my first bike

I joined the forum to keep updated about KTM Duke, I was planning to buy it, but sadly, due to some reasons had to cancel it, but happened over this period was I went over all the topics going on , and felt I was missing something very big,gained a lot of knowledge, and got many misconceptions cleared just by reading..
Thanks to duke that I came across such an energetic, fun loving and knowledgable community
