No issues with the road. But be ready to hike or trek for a day if not then drop the plan..anyways I'm won't be able to make it on 4th...

you don't get to see that many birds nowadays at karnala -- the only good time serious bird watchers (no pun intended) go there is very early morning 5-5.30 am or so

else it's an enjoyable 1.5 hr trek to the top with nice views all around karjat,khopoli,rasayani & panvel view.

A dhaba below (sai krupa or ekvira) both offer excellent food.

Rohit i think its a bad idea for panchgini, as this is a newbie ride, and taking newbies directly for 200+ km run via khambakti ghat and prasarni ghat, can be bit problematic for those who are unexperienced in ghat riding.

I would suggest a breakfast kinda ride to lonavala as the road is straight and they can learn group riding signalling and all.

Most of them (present at woods g2g) already went to Mahabi more than once (they are newbies in xbhp, not in riding ), hence we decided that venue after talking to them... dropped Lavasa, due to twisties and some other issues. No lonavala, since it's too close. Any other suggestions?

On the contrary, please make it mandatory for all riders to have RVM (Rear view mirrors) installed on their bikes.

@everyone - It seems the excel where we had put our contact details and all is being fiddled around and i found many names and numbers missing, so please check the same, also update your details on http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/universa...tml#post739918 and requesting @NV to make this sticky on first page so any newcomer can use the information.

Please do not confuse new members , I frefer calling that, (new bees) with noobs ,presuming new members to be noobs or donno anything about long rides etc can may be offencive and a mistake. Its our respocibility to make su the dont run in to trouble and tell them if they need improvement.

I don't have any new ideas but both Lonu and Mahabi have the same problem.. weekend traffic.. Lonu not so much as Mahabi but I still think it'd get problematic.

And thats the very reason we start our rides at 6:00AM. We beat the 'weekend traffic'.

Last two times I've gone to mahabi we've encountered big ass buses causing 10+ cars lining up to overtake.. And it only gets worse when we're coming back..

Lonu is the slightly better option..

Why not just ride till Satara and back.. A break at Shirwal to review the progress till then.. Brunch at Satara and then back..

The problem with ghats is that good ones either too far or too crowded or too close.. I'm just thinking about the ones I've been to.. Kashedi, mahabi to poladpur (not the best roads), lonavala, mahabi, a small ghat section in the way to nashik, a fast ghat section on the way to nagar.. near those wind fans/turbines/whatever..

I am Hari from kerala ...came to pune just few months to start my corporate life and will be here for more than 2 years

eventhough i got my ride 1 month ago , i was waiting to get my NOC before getting in touch with you all..

also please share the procedures to get tax paid without middle agents??

when i went to rto, pune near sangam bridge, i was crowded by a group of agents mostly because my registration no is KL :P , dont know how i escaped, i also met an agent for just in case. while leaving rto at next junction traffic police caught me and asked for 600rs which without receipt made to 200rs :P
