I cant say much on that. Its after all everyone's choice whether to attend or not. But if you wish to contribute towards this brotherhood and maintain a discipline towards riding (which is your end motto) then i believe one should be present... Respecting the motorcycle and laws should be the number one priority, if not then at least for me the doodhwala which comes in helmet at 7am sharp is much preferred than the person reading this post at home...

Again, everyone has their own stuff and problems they can or not.

        • @abhishek - 220F giving 50 somehow comes as a surprise for me as i know many 220 owners who get around 40ish mileage. Again you should try normal riding which includes riding in all rpms, all gears, city and higway that way you will get the perfect mileage. Again if your bike is in running in than the mileage differs as i was getting 55 on my R15 in runnin in and after first service i dont remember i got that kinda mileage again.

                • Brilliant G2G!

                  Guys,
It was a brilliant G2G yesterday. Thanks to NV, RB, TV and all those who turned up. Just summing up the things we discussed.

                  1) Always wear a helmet, even if you go to buy groceries.
                  2) Wear full gear on rides. A full gear includes an armoured jacket, knee guards, gloves and ankle length shoes. Cajole your pillion to do the same.
                  3) Wear the riding gear properly. Check if your riding gear fits you snugly and if all the hooks and buttons related to it are properly fastened.
                  4) Leave no man behind! In case of an accident, make the necessary arrangements to get him to safe and comfortable place.

Please add in case if anything has been missed.

If you dont have gears inform in advance, so arrangement can be done, at the same time be prepared to go back if gears are not arranged.

Ride in your comfort zone and limits.

The most important point was ride safe. One should not ride more than 80% his or his bikes limits.

Thank you both for the summary.

                            1. The Gear Mandate on Pune xBhp Team STAYS. The gear must be proper and the fit has to be right too.
                            2. Every member of the team is expected to ride with a lot of common sense and keep his ego at home when they are on a bike (xBhp ride or otherwise too)
                            3. Every member of the team is responsible for his own safety and that of the others in the group.
                            4. No member in distress should be ignored under any circumstances. Where things get difficult, members may seek help from Seniors (on the ride or via phone), Police or any emergency response team. In addition to this, we are bikers and share the road with a lot many people. If you see a situation where your timely help can save a life, please do not run away from helping the ones in need.
                            5. Know your limits and that of your bike. Do not exceed any one of them. Do not blindly follow a faster rider for any reason.
                            6. No part of the road is to be treated as a race track. For rides to the mountains and ghats, the group must be disciplined and has to ride responsibly.
                            7. The ride planner and the marshal for that ride has to check the mandatory gear and documents before each ride. Any failure to do so will be deemed as the sole responsibility of the ride initiator/planner.
                            8. Any of the participants may voluntarily dig out information on the various hospitals, contact numbers for police etc for the planned route. This list is mandatory and has to be shared with each participant before the ride begins.
                            9. Although formation riding is a good practice but, in reality it may not happen and hence, the concept of ride buddy makes sense and the entire group has to ensure that they re-group with the entire group once in a specific number of kilometers.
                            10. On a group ride, you can plan and have a ride buddy; someone who will look out for you and ride with you on a similar expectation from you. Ensure that the ride buddy you pick is someone with whom you are comfortable, speed-wise and generally too.
                            11. Each participant must share ICE information with the ride planner before the ride commences. This can be done while confirming for the ride on the online forum. While doing so, please quote your full name, your contact number, an emergency contact number, your relation with the emergency contact and your blood group too.
                            12. All participants on the ride are expected to keep their bikes in top condition. Essential parts like tyres, brakes, headlights and chains might be inspected by the ride conductor for trip worthiness. Any concern can be consulted and decided on whether to proceed with the ride or not.
                            13. No exception will be made to the rules mentioned above. The rules are there for your own safety and that of the entire group. We are ok with losing new members from joining the group rather than losing lives on the road.

Please ensure that the same is propagated further. Any feedback would be welcome. Shall make this a part of the first post by evening.
