Going near the dam?? and Rs 2000 for what crime...
Can you throw some light on this issue please...

At the bottom of the dam, just few kms before lavasa city gate, there is a spillway for dam( water coming out through a pipe).. on our way down we parked our bike and went near the spillway.. just them some police came in a jeep and called us and started shouting "you are not supposed to go near the dam..many have drowned in it and should we stand there always to warn everyone?? " (water was below knee :P and there were no sign boards)

and asked us to come to station with them for paying 2000rs fine each..

as usual one guy from them asked to settle for 1000rs total which we bargained to 500 (there was no other option as my friend's bike is KA reg and new so didnt even get the original rc...so couldn't argue much fearing they wouldd ask for rc )

Great Indian road trip pune-mumbai meet ,lonavala:It was a splendid get along with almost all types of superbikes, cruisers, and indian made etc..!! I would have missed a hell of a chance if I hadn't gone there.!!

The Grand Indian Road Trip official meet was an exciting experience, being amidst so many bikers and bikes of various classes. Kudos to the GIRT Team for bringing together so many enthusiasts from various groups. Loved the crackling revving sessions by all the superbikers and our own Roadshakers.

I had to leave quite earlier, missing out on the interactive sessions and much more, but I did leave a mark on the 'Pledge to wear a helmet' helmet. Oh and btw, thanx for the T-shirt and the stickers. All in all, a wonderful experience !!!

As we all going to have a discussion this G2G, Me and Rohit had to come up with a place where everyone could be accommodated with their gears and themselves...

We have come up with two options which even I believe can be used for this G2G...

Roopali was in the list as this has maximum participation but it has no area where a discussion can be held and gears can be accommodated... so i suggest or rather request the pune Junta to adjust for this G2G to either TMC (The Moto Cafe) or Hotel Woods in CC

So you all have time till Wednesday morning as these two are the only feasible options... SMS will be sent out by 12pm sharp on Wednesday...g2g time will be 8.30pm

2) Hotel Woods, Chandni Chowk, CC

And as taken ahead by NV, we are bikers and 10 - 15 kms here and there wont make a difference...

A quick refresher on NV's Topic of discussion -

While I had specifically mentioned that the issue was something else, the debate of whether wearing gear or not seems to be the hot topic on this thread.

Just some noodle bakers, just ask yourself these questions:

Do I wear a helmet even if it is a short ride; let's say, running an errand to the commodity shop?
Do I turn out in the entire gear for "in-city" meets/G2Gs?
Do I treat the road as a road and not as a race track?
On weekend rides, do I rush into blind corners with no regard to the oncoming traffic?
While taking corners, do I really know whether I am veering into the opposite lane?
Do I really treat group rides as a pleasurable ride or is it a top speed setting ride?
On a group tide, do I really follow the leader or make my own rules?
Am I well equipped to handle any emergency on a ride?
If a fellow biker is hurt, do I know what to do? Whom to contact? How to coordinate?
Do I ride carelessly just because I'm a part of xBhp and "we know all" attitude?
Do I have respect for others on the road? Do I let senior citizens, children and handicapped, Mothers with Kids in front cross before I zoom past?
Do i ride to prove a point to others that iam better than you?


Maybe answers to these questions might help you understand the tone of our oncoming G2G.
