Hi Pune members I need a very urgent help.

A brief background : I reside in Pune. I had bought a bike from Thane in dec 2012 and signed all the forms, had taken out an NOC from Thane RTO as well for registering it in my name @ Pune at that time. Then I went onsite and could not eventually transfer my name. Now I have come back and I am getting transferred to my native place in Bangalore this weekend.

Now I need to take the bike to BLR with my name transferred.

For this,I spoke to a reliable govt regd agent and he said that I need to pay a fine for delayed ownership transfer, which I am ok with.

But the info I need is, If I initiate the transfer process with all the papers today and let it get processed while I leave the city WITH my bike this weekend to BLR, is it fine?

Is there any possibility of the RTO asking me to physically come with the bike while the ownership transferring is getting done? (I will provide ample chasis print for later requirements
)
Also any idea regarding the amount of penalty I need to pay will be extremely helpful.

2. Where is the bike registered presently? In Thane or in Pune? Or is the bike still unregistered to any state?

The RC has previous owners name. I have the all the transfer forms like 29,30 in my name.

2. Where is the bike registered presently? In Thane or in Pune? Or is the bike still unregistered to any state?

The bike is currently bearing Thane registration

I am planning a solo week-long ride.

Pune-B'lore-Mysore-Pondi-Chennai-Hyderabad-Pune.

I wish to explore more around and would like suggestions from people who already have done this part.

I also heard about a ghat near blore/chennai which has 36 hairpin turns in 5kms(I cant remember the name)

All suggestions and experiences are welcome...

I just came in and I see this......

Got down into parking today morning to buy milk and found out that my R15 was not in parking. When i raised alarm, came to know there are multiple incidents in nearby society.

After much hoopla came to know my bike was parked some 500 meters away from society, on main road. Surprisingly, the handle was unlocked, and both front and back wheels missing.

Both Rims with Disc plates attached, and the Sprocket Driven... Same was the case with some other bikes. A good 20K of loss which money i wanted to invest in gears.

PLEASE guys make sure your steeds are safely parked and protected. Must be some gang operating around. BTW i live in Dhanori.

Seems to me some techie gang eh? btw, my uncle's unicorn got stolen from Crystal soc. (Dhanori) just a few hours ago. I just came to know. [MENTION=24648]ZMAtic[/MENTION] Did you lodge a compliant?

on a lighter note, why not call your local sueprman aka the price aka @utsavchs? He will make sure that the thief returns 4 wheels

Hi there. I would suggest you skip Hyderabad for now. There are agitations going on outside the Telangana region[Hyderabad]. To come into HYD with the route you mentioned, you will be caught in region outside Telangana. There are also reports of motorists being harassed on the highway. Bangy-HYD highway is totally cut off. You wont enjoy HYD in these tense time as well. Come back to the city some other time

I was surfing YouTube and came up with this video. It is pretty large(almost 350 MB) but worth every second. SO much to learn from the mayhem going on and improve upon one's own riding. Worth saving to the hard disk and using as a G2G discussion. Check it out. Most of the riders are complete morons to try what they were doing. Am sure 99% of us here are not like that. But, better to learn from some other idiot's mistakes than make some by oneself.

Some crashes are quite serious, so those a bit queasy about such issues may take a rain check and see it today itself as it is raining in Pune
