Frankly speaking what you ride makes no difference to me personally but ill have to get a go ahead from my fellow club members !!! Let me get back to you on this .

Thought so that is why raised this issue. Usually superbike owners do not want to be seen with general bike riders (no hard feelings from this side)

indeed? is that so? rather amusing & shocking to read this...
i always believed [& believe] that its the man that maketh the machine & not the other way round... idhar toh ulta-pulta dikh raha hain...
no offense towards anyone but i.m.h.o. any club / individual who thinks as stated above... is @ best, avoided
i'll let this one pass

Bro these are not our views as a club and as Individuals we don't mind what you ride . You ride that's important with us . We also have duke's and impulses that ride with us . And no jokes they are usually the ones which reach the destination first . When i said I'll get back to you I meant on the dates thing .

Actually it is not so difficult to understand. When you are riding on 4 lane highway, you want riders who you are comfortable riding with at your comfort speed. For SBKs, the comfort speed is above 120 (below that you feel sleepy). At that speed, you don't want someone you don't know riding next to you. (If I want to go on a ripfest, I would not want slower riders with me. . . though ripfest for me hovers around 150)

Secondly, SBKs are expensive to repair. People have a habit of sitting on bike, posing with it without permission. Every time that happens the owner's balls are in his mouth. So the owner is extra cautious all the time.

Thirdly, some SBK owners have bought those bikes for joy of possession. . . they may not like others to see / judge their riding ability. (Earlier I used to get pissed off when riders on R15 used to overtake me on NH4 while I was riding my Ninja 250)

Lastly, a SBK owner is typically 30+ and his temperament, spending ability/willingness are in a completely different league from other 18 year old riders so it becomes extremely difficult for him to adjust to that group.

(Though this may not apply in the case of this particular ride because two different groups are riding from different directions)

Maybe on the 15th, we can ride (slow) through the city early morning as a group and promote safe riding. Something different than the usual rides we have on sundays.

There already is another rally organised by various riding groups from Pune in association with RTO.

But if xbhp pune isnt participating in it, we can have our own, as per our convenience. That way we wouldnt have to wait for other people to join in and waste time. And we members can have a better management.

There is a high probability that this ride would comprise of a lot of wannabes or novince riders. If managed well, it might not be a problem. But the time schedule wont be followed. Plus the lucky draw forms is clearly something they are doing to collect the details of potential customers (which if used properly shoudnt be an issue). So i am not very keen about joining this ride.


The ride through the city can have the following route :

Meetup at Chandni Chowk at 6:40 - Departure by 7 - Then ride via Bavdhan to Aundh and stop at greenpark and move ahead to highway - enter warje - karve road - stop at Kothrud McDonalds - sinhagad road via rajaram - deccan via dandekar pool - FC road, with a stop ahead of FC maingate - via RTO road to phoenix marketcity - Koregaon park - camp, east street road - U turn to MG road - return to decaan, JM road - head up straight to FC road and then to SB road - then Law college road to grubshup. We can have breakfast at the end (Grubshup/roopali etc), accordingly changing the end point.

We should be able to finish the ride by 10-10:30am (without breakfast).

EDIT : The highway part has been included on purpose, to warm up the riders, as the rest of the ride through the city would be a slow one.
