Hampi Ride

Hey guyz , came back from the hampi ride yesterday night . Was hell a lot of riding for me .. Incubus now I came to know what saddle sore means !! huh! While going took the pune->solapur->bijapur->hospet->hampi route.. Took a freaking 19 hours to cover up that stretch .. Never seen an NH in such a bad shape .. and while coming back it was a smooth ride on tarmacs (hampi->hospet->koppal->hubli->kolhapur->pune). Though a first long ride for my Uni .. Performed smoothly though .. Would post a detailed log in tourer section soon

Amba ghat will be remembered forever ..... had a wonderful low-side over there... i guess i was doing some 80-85 kmph when that happened.... but thanks to the gears, I didn't get a single scratch.....
Special thanks to Khisitij for lending me his knee-guards... without them i would have been bed-ridden right now....

You okay mate?? Glad to know that the kneeguards were of use. You can keep them and use for further rides. I ain't going on any ride for 1 more month atleast!!
And why does everyone have problem in putting my name's alphabets in chronological order?? I should change it something simpler, I think!

How was the overnight camping ride??

antz.bin, ankit, hyperion, surojit & me, returned back at 1.30am from the Vishalgad ride... Ride was awesome... pics coming soon...

Me,Nikhil,Rishabh,Deven and Kashif went for this ride.Had lots of fun riding on the state highways..One more addition to the unexplored series(Nikhil will explain) :P

Reached Valneshwar around 8 in the night..and then Dhamal,bakar,bornfire ka silsila chalta raha..pata nahi kab tak

That is what i was wondering,why did you took the Solapur route ??
Was it like you don't like to come back from the same route which you have covered while going(just asking because it happens in my case )...Or you wanted to visit Bijapur ??
Because route both the below route are the preffered ones to ride for Hampi

1) Pune - Sankeshwar - Gokak - Hospet(not via Bagalkot..there is a short cut) - Hampi
2) Pune - Hubli - Hospet - Hampi (Straight road from Hubli to Hospet...very good condition)

Yesterday was a crazy ride for us. (Read. I, Anant,Surojit,Hyperion and Rockerz). We started at 6.10 IST (Indian Stretchable Time 5.30am) and returned 1.30am. Covered 647kms in total!!! Rode in heavy rain,thick fog,shivering cold,wicked sun!!! 2 Low Sides happened. Bike getting stalled after water managed to moisten the spark Plug in thick rain in the middle of NH17. My eyes are blood red now.Dashed through a swarm of insects on the way and one or two chose to stay inside my eyes.

NO ONES believeing me in the office as I have come late and my eyes are red.They are saying that I must have had a CRAZY PARTY the nite previous nite boozing all nite long.

I was actually unaware of the solapur route , and it was decided all of a sudden so didn't have much of time to collect data But the later route two that you have mentioned is the one I took , coz I was familiar with NH4. . And never gave a thought to NH 13 after riding it once

We also went through Amba ghat, that ghat is just mind blowing.
Best ghat sections I have ever done,including Lavasa.

@NV (if you are there ) I do not have to ride Naked thanks to the Michelin Sirac.. I did 150 in the Katraj tunnel last night, speed less as I hit traffic towards the end. Its only a matter of time till I breach 153 now

@My fellow riders.. congratulations on a successful ride. But how can we forget about Hyperion's epic fall.
