  • The collective IQ of the discussions at this thread is mind numbingly low.
The likes of Sirhud Kalra and the young college kids of today shun this group and for that matter this forum because of the utter lameness that goes on out here.
Everybody is taking potshots at everyone ! literally..its bickering at its worst.
Seriously guys..its not even good entertainment. Its shit entertainment. and so is the sense of humour. Its so stale by now that its not even funny.

If we dont like someone or dont like the way they are going about their talks and posting then tell them once. If they dont listen tell them again. If they still dont get it..well then dont begin ridiculing the person. Give up explaining if you may or just plain ignore it. Why make someones life difficult ?

Like Antz said..we had an excellent ride to lonavla yesterday. Some of us decided to ride to Amby valley and for a part of us it didn't turn out to be good. One could learn so much from yesterdays crash if one could stop getting bothered by the same old humour and the same old bullshit that goes on around here that I stop to wonder if we really are a group of riders or a bunch of uncivilized uncouth egoistic pranksters ! Nothing to learn here...nothing..niente..nada..null

A big FU to those who make my online motorcycling experience shitty !
And I am not sorry if I have offended anyone. If you find yourself offended..you most prolly deserved it.

Utsav, Eeshan please refrain from posting for a while. When you get back to posting after atleast a couple of days of 'no posting at all' adhere to certain basic rules..i.e
    1. Post only if its absolutely necessary..
    2. Do not turn this into a chat room.
    3. Multiple posts or not if you restrict your posts to being contentful, informative and funny then people wont really give a shit if you are multi-quoting or not.
    4. Pulling something out your arse and calling it a fact is not a legit way to argue in any debate.
    5. Always proof read your text yourself before posting. Anything which is gonna be read by others HAS TO MAKE SENSE. Have fun posting and make fun of someone else but be riders first and hence riders of serious intent.

Over the top attempts to impress anyone gets them laughing at you. Like the bunch of girls who laughed at me yesternight at a party. Know-it-alls have no room to learn and they will be just as "smart" next year as they are right now.

If i am not wrong than swing arm and alloy are two different things as i also replaced my swing arm of my old bike and i have seen people replacing of pulsars, zma and other bikes but none replaced the rear tyre.

I think they wanna make money out of you.

If you are visiting close to my house than let me know i can tell my mechanic to check.
Are you sure thats the appropriate method of checking wheel alignment? I dont think so.

You can try the following things,
      1. If your swingarm has markers, check both sides if they are on the same tick on both sides.

      2. There is a string method which you can use to check wheel alignment (google for it for details)
      EDIT : http://www.ehow.com/how_4584111_chec...alignment.html

      3. You can do a visual inspection by putting the bike on the main stand and comparing the position of the front wheel with the rear. Goes without saying this method is very prone to human error.

          @RR Thank you.
Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

              Hi RR,

Nicely said, no one should take it personally or feel offended. Sometimes such words are required. That is why sometimes I like the way Team Bhp is run. Again no offence....

              Hi Vishwas,

It was nice meeting you all, it was my first meet and enjoyed it. Though I was riding slow, would never want to chase a Ninja Boy, that is how I ride...
Although I was introduced to all i don't remember their names now except for few, who actually has their photo on XBhp.
How is the person who crashed? How is he doing? Hope nothing more than the initial diagnosis. Sorry I don't remember his name. I would have stayed back but received repeated calls from home so had to leave.
And Srinath has few snaps. He clicked it when we were having breakfast.
              Safe riding next time.

              Hi Srinath,

              Try to post the snaps.
              Regards,

                • @ Eshan - What Anant, Vishwas and Ten hut told is fact, dont take it other way round. See we all do mistakes and even i did and made this offline thread a chat room when i had crashed and was in fracture. But i was made realized by many of them and learnt its wrong, and this all are not saying because you are bad or something, again remember when you need help we all are there for you but dont remove your frustrations here rising out of your personal issues.

@ anant, vishwas, abhijit - I will post the snaps tomorrow.

                    Why so technical ?

Ride in a way that u can spot one to two riders at the front and one/two in your mirrors. If every body does this instead of selfishly riding away to glory then a group will always stay together.

There should always be sufficient gap of atleast 20-30m between riders and should travel in staggered configuration (in the left lane on 4 lane roads)

Follow a rider in a way that you are able to see his face, in his bike's RVM. This way you will also become visible to the rider ahead of you.

                      • @ashu aka HYPERION, i think you are talking about alignment. thats not what i am worried about now. my concern is with swing arm play.

a badly aligned rear/ front has the following symptoms.
                        1) it will tend to pull to one side.
                        2) it will slide into one direction if you lock the rear wheel.
                        3) it dont give you a wobble, it will give you a sensation of loading one arm more than the other.

what i am facing is the following:-

                        1) if i let go the handle, the bike goes in a straight line. but if i take a turn, it requires a lot of effort to get it straight. seems like it does not want to get out of the turn.
                        2) when ever i go over the while divider lines, the bike loses the composure.
                        3) any speeds over 60 and below 80, the front used to shake if hands are taken off. after the change of front bearing set, this has disappeared.
                        4) my old cd 100 feels better taking corners than the hunk. this is the sense, it does not give stray "losing composure" feeling.

well, I will be showing the bike to a couple of reputed mechs that i have noted yesterday and will get back soon as to is my rear busted or not

How - He left road and ended up in a ditch
Bike - Ninja - front, side, rear fairing broken, clip-on bent, rear seat came off and did not fit again.
Why - Because senior experienced riders like utsav and shrinath were sitting in RKs while this noob was riding to Amby.

To make it more simple follow 3 second rule, usually I follow 4-5 second, but that is when you want to follow. This this is how I was taught in US, but it was different there due to strict speeding restrictions and also traffic is not like India.

                              • Vipin Rathore.
Cause (according to him and those who were following him) : target fixation.
All hell must have broken loose once he target fixated and he made no attempts to lean the bike. So ended up going straight on an otherwise flowing but tricky left hander and ended up somersaulting the bike into a ditch ;s

But an even bigger lesson to be learnt is the fact that altho the crash was nasty to say the least the guy was cladded in armour from top to bottom including proper riding pants and not some diesel lame levis jeans like I was wearing myself :s
No scratch...no blood...thanks to the gear..
                                But a fractured rib
