I was on a 2 lane flyover where one bus was overtaking another bus at roughly the same speeds.
I was behind them and there was nothing i could do but wait till a bus finishes his move. So im driving slow behind him.
The this guy on a passion Keeps honking like crazy.
Im so irritated by this but dont pay much heed.
This guy then squeases through the small narrow gap between the two busses and goes ahead.
After the bus crossed, i overtook it and continued onward.
Then at the next signal i stop, this same guy right next to me taps me and says, "Fast bike leke, Aisa racing ka saman pehen ke admi fast nahi banta, Gaadi theek se chalana seekho."
Translated-"Buying a fast bike and wearing all this racing stuff (gear) doesnt make you fast. Leaen how to drive properly."

Hearing this i was left totally shocked and didnt know what to reply.
So i just nodded my head, closed my visor and drove off.

          Any advise for such people??
May be that person just wanted you to give way so that he could ride in his 'comfortable' speed. Every person has a speed in which they feel comfortable... clearly his was more than yours. These typically is based on the ability, agility and very importantly stupidity. He clearly was ahead of you on one of the factors

Just give way to such people. Thats it. If they behave nasty like cutting lanes and threatening your life, just blaze away and then slow down and watch them overtake and disappear by risking thier agility and ability with thier stupidty!

                • Was reading these few pages on Riding errors by others/us on City roads and etc... and I just got a call telling me that

I just lost a good friend in Bangalore due to an accident on his Motorcycle.. was in ICU for 3 days

I don't know, if it was his mistake or anybody else's.. don't even know what caused it.. as far as I know, he was neither a enthusiast nor any kind of rider. Just used his unicorn for daily commute of 4-5Kms..

I really don't know what his family must be going through back home..

                  Just wanted to share this..

                  Be safe and be Patient.

                  • That's very sad indeed..nowadays not just about traveling from point A to point B, one has to be cautious too at all times while on road.

                    My condolences to his family.

Well you know what they say, anyone going faster than you is crazy and anyone going slower than you is an idiot

Like satyenpoojary said, everyone has their own comfortable speed, if they're honking like crazy just let them pass, no harm in that.. but if for some reason you can't let them pass, ignore the honking.

Sorry for going off topic but i need a little help here,

I'd be coming down to pune from Bhopal towards the end of this month..
I need to know the current condition of the NH3 and NH50, any idea?

I've never had a outstation bike in pune..
Do the Cops create an issue out of "MP" registered Bike...
what all i need to have except the NOC and general papers.
also which is the best HH service station in pune.?

Looking forward to joining you people for the GTGs.

                        • Condition of highway -- no idea..never traveled on that.

Cops creating issue -- yes they do..if you are caught while at a signal.

best station for HH service station -- all are ok only..but i personally dont go to HH service station..instead go to my mechanic.

G2Gs -- we have g2g on every wednesday on FC Road at hotel Roopali.

                                speed wasn't the problem.
That guy just barely squeased through the gap between the two busses which i though is really risky, lest either bus moves a bit, he could have got crushed in between the busses.
I decided it was safer to wait and not risk my life fof just a sake of two minutes.

Neways its safe riding we do and lets see hope to inspire other folk to do the same.
