Was there any G2G happened there in 2011 and 2012? As i cant remember that.





Check out Some car or OEM dealers who sell exclusive osram products, there is one in kothrud opposite bajaj service center below the flyover, and apart from that nanapeth is your option, Is that a H4 bulb or H7 you looking for, because as per my knowledge osram has 35 watt h4 bulbs which normally comes with R15 apart from that i dont think any other are there for h4.

A small One Day ride has been planned covering a little of NH 17, 2 ghats and NH4. No destination as such. Just ride.
Day and Date: Saturday , 2nd March 2013.
Total distance covered: Approx. 400 kms.
Route: AH 47/NH 4 to AH 47/NH 4 - Google Maps
Meeting Point: 6.15 am McDonalds, Khed Shivapur (see point A in map)
Departure: 6.30am.
A request to all riders coming on this ride:- Please carry a bag/sack and at least one water bottle with you. I will be carrying along the necessary first aid items.
Documents
a. Valid Driving License: MUST have and carry at all times
b. Bike Registration Papers: Original or Attested Photocopy
c. Bike Tax Certificate: Original or Attested Photocopy
d. Bike Insurance: Preferably a comprehensive insurance, personal insurance would be a plus.
e. PUC Certificate: A valid PUC certificate; especially if touring along with the group to pollution sensitive/monitored areas.

Safety Gear
a. Helmet: Has to be in good condition and preferably ISI/DOT certified
b. Thick Jacket/Riding Jacket: Must have inbuilt armour or external armour is also allowed
c. Gloves: Must cover vital points like knuckles and wrist. Cut/half gloves not allowed
d. Knee Guards: Either bionic or regular flex type. Should be worn inside trousers if non bionic.
e. Riding Boots/Sports Shoes/Army Boots: Anything that covers the foot well.
f. There is nothing that can better the protection of a full leather suit (if affordable). The preferred and most recommended piece of protection that your money can buy. Not compulsory though.

I need some help towards planning a trip to the Rann of Kutch. It's just a three day trip, so I need some advice on what the best places to cover are, and what places can be given a miss. Is there anyone who has done a trip to the Rann of Kutch from Pune? If so, please let me know.

3 days - Please share your plan ?? To cover Little ROK in 3 days,it will be bit tight..possible though.I would suggest you to buy some more time and take it easy.

Honda unicorn service center in pune

Hi Team,

This is my first post in this firm and i need some advice from experts regarding my unicorn.

I have unicorn Feb 2008 model which has covered 70000 km. Now the problem is from last few days there is some noise in engine and also white smoke coming out of silencer. When i showed this to local mechanic he told me your bike needs an engine overall and the noise is for the cranck shaft.
He qouted me 5.5k for same, Which includes boring and repairing the crank shaft. Whereas after calling service center regarding the engine overall they have qouted me 12k approx.

Now i need your advice wheather to go to local mechanic or service center. Also if someone can suggest good honda service center or mechanic in pune.

@adi4008: I would advice you to go for a new block piston instead of boring the present 70k km block as this would be peace of mind & will save your labour charges for future block replacement. The block replacement should take care of the white smoke from the exhaust. Authorised service centres will always charge premium for their not so premium service so better take the genuine spares like block piston kit, gaskets & seals from the service centre & get the job done with your trusted mechanic. It should not cost you more than 5 to 6k for the entire job including the spares. Phone numbers of honda service centres in pune. But the problem is that my bike is always serviced at ASC only.
I used to take my bike to local mechanic for minor jobs like chain tight etc..
Today i checked with BU Bhandari at viman nagar they have given quote as below:
Piston kit 3500
Valve 1000
Cranck shaft 3500
Labour & others 2000
Total 10000

Also piston kit and cranck shaft is not available with them..

Time they are telling 4-5 days if spares available else 10-12 days.

Also, kindly suggest whether i go for cranck repair or replace.

This is the rough plan as of now.

Thursday, March 7th: Leave by Pune 4PM and ride till Surat.
Friday, March 8th: Surat to Little Rann
Saturday, March 9th: Dasada, Nal Sarovar etc, and back to Ahmedabad.
Sunday March 10th: Ahmedabad to Pune

Is this okay?

Actually, I'm trying to extend by a day, and ride to the Great Rann. It feels criminal to go so far, and see only the Little Rann. So my questions are:

1. Apart from Dasada and Nal Sarovar, which part of the little Rann should we visit?
2. Is it worth it to take one more day off and go till the Greater Rann? or is it similar to the Little Rann?
