    Okay here goes...

There is a huge transfer of what I use to ride and what I ride now, major difference. A Pulsar 180 to a R15, I mean, the difference is hell
try not to get so engaged with body position and hanging off.
    1. just grip the Tank like your life depends on it
    2. arch your back to get the CoG lower and make the steering input more effective and accurate..

You'll do just as well sitting naturally and once you understand the bike, you can start hanging off if needed

    My 2 cents

    • Kinda off-topic but relevant to the post above... I think if the basics are right, it doesn't matter much what you ride.

I saw some really awesome riding by a guy astride a red Pulsar (number ending with 6016) on Lavasa road last Sunday (28th October). Other than over-braking slightly before corners, his technique was flawless. Even when some **** in a car came into his lane on a blind curve from the opposite side, he did not panic-react. But before I could switch on my Contour, some chimp on a blue RD blasted past us and so I had to race with that guy and rape him.

And if the 6016 dude is reading this, you should really be racing for Red Rooster Racing or some other team, if you aren't already. Take care mate, and ride safe!
Who needs more than 70 bhp when you don't need to slow down for the corners?

My body and mind are getting confused when approaching a corner, getting out that city bike feel to a sports bike feel is difficult to adapt, i had major fishtailing when reducing gears before a corner. Leaning is another problem, the concept of cornering is clear in my mind but then getting accustomed to the bike is not.

        1) Check entry speed and entry point.
        2) Scan the corner through the apex till the exit.
        3) Brake if required before entry.
        4) Lean In - (major problem in accustoming body positioning in the cockpit)
        5) Throttle lightly
        6) Apex
        7) Lean out, Scan and confirm the exit
        8) Throttle a bit more than step 5
        9) Exit the corner
        10) Bike straighten up and ready for next corner

The theory part is done, but the required body positioning is getting screwed.

        1) Do we grip the tank on a R15 with our scrotum sack about to burst
        or
        2) Do we sit all the way behind till the monkey bone touches the pillion seat.
        or
        3) Sit midway

I know that lower body plays a major role in handling the bike. But Posture is where I **** up.
Cornering on r15 is a definitely a bit different then of Pulsars and Apache's. People who rode mine after their, complained if the front had some problem as they felt it to be going away. The problem was they were putting a lot of weight in front then required.
Just need to lean back a bit, the CoG point. Guess that should work out.
and yep, you should be at high revs.
        Ride On,
        Akshat

Are you able to do this without the butter chicken ponch coming in the way?

            Ok, so?
Buy a bigger bike that suits your size(Entire body) .. so that your monkey bone and Balls are safe..... ...

I guess it depends on individual and his body size ,i think where to sit depends on a bike you wont be sitting on same point on R15,R6,CB1000 or CBR....

On Sunday eve, while on a leisure ride with couple of roomates and their better halfs towards lonavala.
Was getting maha bored at speeds of 70-80Kmph.

Somewhere around miday, a big bike crossed me, was a superlow.
Now, i was very tempted to follow him.
              But
              a. thats a superlow, i can't beat that in dreams with my humble 150 cc engine.
              b. he would think me as of an desperate small bike guy, the way i feel if a guy on a passion or splendor tries to race up.
              c. but i was getting bored and had been a lot of time since on a high rev ride.

So went ahead and it was super fun. While he raped me on straights, i left no stones unturned on corners and in traffic conditions.
Finally, not exactly 'raped' but earned respect.

Roads are for Riding Bikes and other vehicles and not for "raping" each other... Racing on street =Not Cool... Have we met on any of the G2Gs??

Just used the word as for used in other post above, my intention isn't the same.
No not racing, i didn't used that word. Both of us knew what we were doing and within limits.
More of a friendly hustle. A normal highway high rev ride with gears on.
                  Nope, we haven't yet.

I don't know why people bother replying in such detail to your query. The answer is simple. . . .

Whatever you are doing is wrong . . . . so try doing whatever you have not been doing.
Never argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and then beat you with experience.

Weekdays aren't possible for me, whenever had planned on meeting up on a weekend ride or meetup, something or other came up.
                          Probably sometime soon.

Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.
