Pune Folks, Where can i get Front disc pads for R15 V1? Both YFS and Monarch are out of stock and wont be sourcing it for a week or so.
The calipers are now meeting/mating directly to the front disc and making that "kaichi ka dhar" wala sound.
FOTM-Its that urget.

Yesterday's G2G was fun as usual. Thank you vishwas ji for shredding light on ideal sitting position and helping people save money that they would have spent on padding their seat. I am assuming after reading this you will start charging from next timeOriginally posted by trustvishwas View PostIt was a fantastic G2G yesterday night. Full of technical discussions and what not. I really feel sorry for those who could not attend. Thanks GT for taking the initiative.
I Hope everybody enjoy and continue to learn from G2Gs like the way i am.

At first the roads were pretty good. Till Bamnoli they were ok. After that it was worse. No road as such. Only gravel, stones and pot holes. The road again became good once we were near Mahabaleshwar.Originally posted by rohitlc View PostNice pics , BTW how was the road ? last time we went it was in really bad condition...
But the route I must say is amazing. Its a small 1 lane road covered with trees/farms/village houses/lake (at one point of time) on the sides. Feels like you are riding on some rich guy's private estate.
One needs to be careful there as the ST (lal dabba) buses plying those roads are not accustomed to traffic coming from the opposite side. They just drive like its a BRT route and there are a lot of blind corners.

YFS has the front disc pads for R15 V1. I replaced them today only and it costed Rs 468 including taxes. Labour charges were Rs 250, but it includes (Race bearing greasing + disc pad fittings + Injector cleaning) so not sure exactly how much they charged for disc pad fitting.Originally posted by ZMAtic View PostPune Folks, Where can i get Front disc pads for R15 V1? I second that. Suvarnarekha is a good ASC - the one at Karvenagar. Mr Dada Joshi is the proprietor. Give him my reference that you are a buddy of the Colonel Joshi who went to Leh after getting his bike serviced from Dada; he will help you.Originally posted by rohitlc View PostTry Suvarnarekha Yamaha (search google for location),phadke motors at kothrud stand. have you checked at MP motors wakadewadi?

thanks a lot people...
I got an email from Xbhp that they have sent up my Leh log to Wanderers on their own and that I am to be among the top 10, free T shirt yada yada. Does this make any sense?
I would be grateful for some info on the following routes:
a) Pune to Bijapur - https://maps.google.co.in/maps?saddr...mra=ls&t=m&z=8
b) Pune to Dharwad - https://maps.google.co.in/maps?saddr...mra=ls&t=m&z=8
c) Pune to Karwar - https://maps.google.co.in/maps?saddr...mra=ls&t=m&z=7
I have an option to get posted to any one of the above places in a couple of months. My main requirement is to know the condition of the roads to these three places with a view to ride up to Pune on long weekends to spend with my family esp my father who is recovering from cancer surgery.
Thanks in advance.

Simple straight forward super good 4 laned highwayOriginally posted by icemangb) Pune to Dharwad - https://maps.google.co.in/maps?saddr...mra=ls&t=m&z=8
Pune - Satara - Karad - Kholapur - Best time to ride is early morning where there's almost none on the road & it's doable in 3.5-4 hours
Kholapur - Nipani - Belgaum - Another easy stretch, but watch out for the mild ghat section that can distract you with beauty can be done between 45 minutes to an hour & 15 min
Belgaum - Dharwad - Another easy stretch & watch for Belgaum's natural beauty; stretch can be done in about 2.5-3 hours.
Lots of fuel station enroute; tank up at Pune & you can fill in M/S, M.P Automobiles BPCL, Satara & that will easily last until Dharwad (on CBR 250R)Last edited by aargee; 11-09-2012, 12:19 PM.Skill is what keeps you on a Motorcycle
