Any idea of new petrol prices in pune? As of today afternoon, Shell hinjewadi had normal petrol at 71.xx while shell pimpri had it at 74.xx..
I don't trust the hinjewadi pump as the bugger has tried to con me earlier (twice tried to fill premium instead of normal).. is this pump trustworthy? Cause Rs3/Liter is quite a lot..

One day return ride to Ellora Caves, Aurangabad.
Visit to Ajanta Caves is optional and will be decided after reaching the first destination based on the time available, road conditions and everybody's interest.

Date - 17th Nov 2012 (Saturday)

Meeting time - 6 am

Departure time - 6.10 am

Meeting point - Sangamwadi Bridge (not Sangam bridge)

Total ride distance: 520 kms (Approx, without Ajanta Caves)

Documents
a. Valid Driving License: MUST have and carry at all times
b. Bike Registration Papers: Original or Attested Photocopy
c. Bike Tax Certificate: Original or Attested Photocopy
d. Bike Insurance: Preferably a comprehensive insurance, personal insurance would be a plus.
e. PUC Certificate: A valid PUC certificate; especially if touring along with the group to pollution sensitive/monitored areas.

Safety Gear
a. Helmet: Has to be in good condition and preferably ISI/DOT certified
b. Thick Jacket/Riding Jacket: Must have inbuilt armour or external armour is also allowed
c. Gloves: Must cover vital points like knuckles and wrist. Cut/half gloves not allowed
d. Knee Guards: Either bionic or regular flex type. Should be worn inside trousers if non bionic.
e. Riding Boots/Sports Shoes/Army Boots: Anything that covers the foot well.
f. There is nothing that can better the protection of a full leather suit (if affordable). The preferred and most recommended piece of protection that your money can buy. Not compulsory though.

NOTE:
1. Any member found flouting the rules will be warned once before being banned permanently
2. Since the distance covered is gonna be 550 kms(approx) in one day, this ride will demand lot more than just the riding skills

Calling off this plan due to some last minute cancellations . Soon this ride would be re-scheduled for the next or next to next weekend.

Me along with few folks would be riding to Amby tomorrow morning instead. If anyone interested then please do join. Meeting at 6.45 am at Chandni Chouk.

You need to understand that this Berojgaari ride was done around 10-15 days after this guy returned from Leh ride.

My Leh team is riding to Lohagad Fort tomorrow. RV at Hinjewadi Bridge at 0630h.

If you are coming from Chandni chouk then Warje vala Shell PP is approx 200/300 meter before the Warje bridge...

While on the route to Amby guys decided to go to Matheran(with the thought of exploring a new destination).

• Road till Karjat fata(NH4) was very good, but very bad story after taking right at the Karjat fata.
• First 5-6 kms(though having countable pot holes) are decent out of this 35km patch but after that roads are in real bad conditions till Chinch Aali. Situation is pathetic considering Matheran is such a famous tourist destination.
• After Chinch Aali road is good but very narrow and super stiff. And this super stiff and narrow road is a kind of race track for the local tourist Vehicals(95% of them Maruti Omni which are 60% of the total cars arrive at Matheran at least on weekend). Saw 2 accidents and 4-5 breakdowns in this patch.

Lesson learned out of this ride: If you love the destination more than the road to destination then Matheran is a good place, but if pure riding is the aim then Matheran is a bad idea(till to road gets repaired)...

G2G plans are posted on thread every time it is scheduled. It is not a question of not interested or you disturbing us. Sometimes, a post gets sidetracked if some hot topic is being discussed.

You could have posted at least once more in last 35 or so days. Also your post made a flat statement without asking any query. So members may have assumed that you don't need any explanations.

Anyway, next G2G is planned on Wednesday. Please come down to meet others.
