Im sure you must have sent the PM to me. You are already a member as Vishwas has pointed out and you can start attending the G2Gs and the rides. Watch out for the announcement soon.

Some ideas to throw around about the dhaba G2G with regard to Vishwas' and antz' daroo vs non-daroo dhaba G2G.

Even I like to have a couple of drinks at a party. We were some 4 bachelors in the unit at one time in the early Nineties, of which two, including me, were ultra fond of their drinks. So, after the party, both of us nicely high, the other two used to take us home as pillions on their bikes. Of course, neither of us used to be so wasted as to be unable to ride pillion.

After I got married, we, as a couple had a deal. My wife does not drink hard alcohol, a glass of wine or champagne at max and that too within a close, intimate circle of friends. So, the moment I used to park the car at the party venue, I used to hand over the keys to her. There was simply no issue of perceived injury to the male ego at all. Then, I could guzzle a gallon and walk backwards or my head for all she could care. She would speak very calmly, sweetly and get me into the car and drive us home safely. No fights, no arguments (do you think I am too drunk to drive a stupid car etc etc). I enjoyed my tippling and she enjoyed my singing and dancing and the feeling of safety. We still follow this model. In fact, it has become a bit of a joke among my brother officers as, at a "wet" party, they invariably ask me " where are the car keys, kya joroo ka ghulam hai yeh" etc etc. And now, my daughter reminds me, after the car is parked, to give the keys to her mom.

So, can we think of an option where the tipplers are brought to the venue by the non-tipplers on bikes/in cars? At a G2G, dhaba or non-dhaba, the basic essence is to meet and have fun. Is it abso necessary for all of us to be on bikes, especially at dhaba G2Gs where Vishwas and I cannot do some authentic "shram parihaar"

We can plot the residential proximity of daroo vs non-daroo guys and form pairs to come for the dhaba G2G. That way, all are safe, wives and kids are happy and all eez wael.

Somewhere I read that people are missing G2Gs in Roopali, So on public demand this time G2G will be held at Hotel Roopali. Please dont comment about Parking space ,we take our bikes to places where there isnt any parking space. it is observed that w you get plenty of parking space near roopali after 9pm.

Day /Date: Wed. /15th May
Time: 8pm
Venue : Hotel Roopali,FC Road,Deccan.

All members are requested to attend....

Will be there for the G2G ..

Miss the poori bhaji and strong coffee there at Roopali

None of us had any problems with the bag, apart from slight loosening of the straps, but the bag did not move about while riding. The bungee cords were added as a precaution.

Hello Everyone...
I have decided to buy biking gear this month.... I have the list of shops from the previous posts and am planning to go this weekend to check out the stuff at these places.

Since this is the first time i will be buying any kind of riding gear, i would like some guidance / tips from you all regarding the following:

1. What all should I check for before buying a jacket? My budget is 4.5-5K. Any suggestions?

2. I have heard that there are water-resistant and water-proof jackets. Which would you'll recommended?
Are these qualities just w.r.t. keeping oneself dry or will the water-resistant jacket get spoiled if worn in heavy rain?

3. General points to consider before buying gloves and knee gaurds. Which type, material and make is recommended? I would prefer gloves which are not affected by water.

4. Points to consider / best practices to check about size and fitting of the jacket, gloves and knee gaurds?

Meeting Point - Chandni Chowk...
All safety gear/ Papers ... mandetory

Day /Date : Sunday/19th May
Time: 05.45-13.30
Ride plan :
1. Meet at Chandni Chowk at 5.30
2. Leave by 5.45
3. Brunch enroute
4. Reach Tapola.
5. Photography etc.
6 .Leave from tapola and reach Pune by 1330

All rules regarding Safety gear and Bike papers ,Given on first page,on apply...
